  1. I would go for Hope Mono Trial. As for rotor size 160 all round is good I find or a 180mm front 160mm rear. I wouldn't get a 180mm on the rear though as I find them too easy to bend.
  2. I have had many freewheels in the short time I've been riding and my favourite 2 are the Monty because its very loud and reliable or the Try-all which is also extremely good.
  3. I have the Echo SL rims and havn't had a problem with them yet, but I have heard the Echo SL forks snap.
  4. I can only do 4 blue palates the right way but I've only been riding a year this month!
  5. If it was me starting I would go for a 2005 Onza or a Zona Zip, just as long as it has Maguras.
  6. Medium grind, Rock or Viz yellow pads, with tar is what I would have. There is a video on trials tube (on the forum) showing you how to grind rims.
  7. If it was me I would go for the Echo flat bars, Try all bb and Echo SL rim. I've got all of these parts on my Czar and nothing has gone wrong with them yet.
  8. I would recommend a Echo Lite or a Czar they cost about £250 but there worth every penny trust me
  9. I suppose but I would have it in ma tent and I wouldn't leave it. So they would have to pry it from my cold dead fingers!
  10. Hi, I'm going to a music festival on Piel island (Dalton in Furness in Cumbria) on the 3rd of May and I was thinking of taking my bike. So I wondered if anyone new if there was anything to ride? Natty or Street? Thanks for any comments!
  11. I would go for the pro 2 as its cheaper not just to buy but to maintain. Plus I've never heard of any problems with the Pro 2 but the Chris Kings always start to go wrong around the 1yr mark.
  12. It took me longer than most people to learn how to back hop and pedal hop but once you've learnt them you will get really good very quickly. Its only your first week on the bike, it takes a while to get used to the feel of it. I would suggest some of the Ryan leech video's on YouTube as they helped me a lot. I would start with back hops then when you can do say 10 learn to pedal hop. If that doesn't work ask a mate that can do the things you want to learn to give you a hand, as I'm sure they'l be very happy to help! and most importantly keep trying because it may take a while but you'l get it eventually.
  13. They're mint mate! I have the DD version and I love it. It rides well, (mine does anyway) it takes one hell of a beating and its still going strong. Would recommend one to anyone.
  14. I have the Czar 07 DD and I love it too bits. I would deffo get the Czar because I think they're slightly lighter.
  15. I might be riding Kendal at weekend too so there will be a fair few of us!
  16. I have a czar DD and an Echo Lite DD. I would recommend both these bikes to anyone. There quite light but maybe not the best for Comps. If you get some light rims eg. Echo SL (which I also recommend) you'l be very happy with it I'm sure.
  17. I am riding dual disc and they hold in all conditions no matter how many front wheel hops you do. Yeah they are a bit pricey but there worth it!
  18. I have two double disc frames (Echo Lite DD and Czar DD) and I love them! I wouldn't ever go back to rim brakes because you can ride in any whether and the brakes only get better! Hope dual disc bikes are the way to go trust me
  19. Can someone please answer the question because I also want to make my own pads.
  20. I hate the bike. The frame looks like it will snap, I don't like the colours and for the price of that new you could buy a Czar (dual disc) with top of the range parts and hope disc brakes!
  21. I had the old one (the one in the link) and it was quite good. Just make sure you keep it well maintained (so you can sell it when you upgrade) and change the chain tugs to gusset chain tugs because the Onza ones bend!
  22. I've got the Echo sl's and there mint! There some of the lightest rims, there dead strong and they look great would recomend them to anyone. The Echo urbans and Tr's are good too but its worth paying the extra money for the lighter sl's. I also reccomend the Echo Lite forks.
  23. I would start by looking on Tartybikes if there too much look on Ebay for something like a Zona Zip or some kind of Onza it would be like £300-£400
  24. I can gap 6ft flat and I've only been riding a year in April!
  25. I would look on Ebay mate because £300 goes nowhere in geting a decent bike new. Either that or look on the For Sale section on the forum. If your going for 20" I would go for a Zona Zip or some type of onza, if u can do better than this for the money (in decent condition) go for it. But for the love of God make sure it has Magura HS33's because V-brakes are rubbish! Hope this helps! Rob L
