Decent gearing on a 24" bike? 18:14 or other?
-
What headset are you running there?
-
When you are a full member you could probably get an Onza Zoot at the price you are looking to pay for.
got most of a zoot going, i'll be putting it up on the for sale thread in a week or so. needs a couple of parts so it'll be a decent price.

I think you basically said it yourself, either get a street 26inch frame with slacker head angle and shorter wheelbase such as an old zebdi or woodman elite or whatever and fit a shorter stem and bars..... Or go for a 24, which in your situation i would say thats definetly the best compromise. Maybe try to ride a few 24s first to see if you like them. I dont know about the 2 cogs on the freewhel as havn't had any experience with that though im sure you could run a slightly higher gearing maybe 18 - 15 or 18 -14 and still be able to ride street and trials.
You are always going to have the problem that the more you go towards park/24 street geometry with shorter wheelbase and shorter stem etc you are going to adversely affect how good the bike is for trials. Think you want to weigh that up too and decide which direction your really want to go in.
To finish off if i was you i would try and get hold of a cheap street/24 bike, im sure you could pick something up that wont brake the bank and then you can keep your trials bike for trials and your 24 rig for park etc. Good luck.

someones got a planetx street/jump bike on the for sale forum for about £150 here -> http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....howtopic=146170

If I remember correctly doesn't the Zoot have very similar geo to an inspired? That's not really what I want I'm afraid
no worries
awwww that really wasn't the awesome news I hoped for.
I know what you mean though, send the proto's our way
Reason I want one is I'm sick of mod riding but I've never really been in love with stock so obviously...

I know there's a lot of threads around this subject but I want a tgs 24"
not a Marino, I don't want steel etc
what are my options?
if you can hold on i've got a zoot (well most of a zoot!) going spare. pm me if you're interested. not got any photos now as i'm not at home for another week or so.
Thanks

i had the same problem with both the trial tech spacers and the hope spacers. In the end i went with the onza spacers and they fitted a treat -> http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...category_id=511
Hope that helps

90x10* stem
that's what i was thinking, know any body with one spare in black?
-
Want to stick with my bars. according to the tartybikes web site they have a tiny bit more sweep and rise than the inspired and any way i quite like them. What length stem would you say?
Want to stick with my bars. according to the tartybikes web site they have a tiny bit more sweep and rise than the inspired and any way i quite like them. What length stem would you say?Well that was wrong! Thought that refered to how high the bars were. duh.

What bar and stem combo are people running on their fourplay's or marino's?
I'm running trial tech sport forged 120x17* and monty 221 ti '07 bars and am thinking about changing the stem to hope 90x10* or similar. You ride?
Thanks
