Resident airsoft geek to the max here, ask away
have you fiddled much with your m14 yoshi? sounds like it might be a motor height issue, causing the pinion gear not to engage the spur gear properly and causing problems.
there should be an allen key/ some form of bolt underneath the pistol grip that pushes the motor up or down in the grip, back it off a few turns and report back
Will build the gun back up after dinner and will report back.
That happned to my G8 Well-Fire. Had to stick a two 5p's under it as the screw had threaded by the previous owner.

this is the same as my bang stick, its got a bit more of a punch than a usual airsoft gun so I dont know if that makes it a airhard gun?
What fps is it?

rats are fairly intelligent, often more so than me, they wont take dog food stuck out in the middle of the yard for the first couple of nights, they grow used to lights, and cars, but luckily as i got a couple of places i can hide out, and i can block and unblock rat runs, and they ultimately have to eat, its easy to get them. likewise with rabbits, generally they can see any colour light, but they dont get spooked by a light colour that doesnt shoot them, so much like rats, swapping out colours every so often works, the other benefit of red light is that your eyes dont adjust to it like they do white light, you still retain your natural night vision without taking 5 minutes to readjust.
ive got an interest in bigger game, but it seems expensive, and not quite as skillful. also, i like challenging myself with shooting, so often if im bored, ill stick a few 2ps in cracks in fence posts, go to 25 or so yards and try and hit as many in a row as i can, you cant really go sticking a bunch of bean cans at 100-150 yards and go firing at them, without thinking more about backstops etc, not to mention there not to keen to give a FAC to a 23 year old with a couple of arrests under his belt, who doesnt live on a farm. wouldnt mind getting something for foxing given the chance.
other good thing about nightvision is that it lights up a rabbits eyes white as can be, cant miss eyes when there under ir. my set up is currently similar to this but as you can see in one of his other vids, the length of the scope/camera set up is just too long to be comfy unless you mount the scope way too far forward to use normally
EDIT: with regards to footwork, its not huge distances, but trudging 1/2 mile in the wet between spots, sitting on wet grass for 30 minutes only for there to be no rabbits, is a lot worse than rocking up to an infested small holding in sweatpants and trainers, walking on concrete, setting up somewhere out the elements, and popping a few rats.
One of my mates bedroom window looks out on to a feild swarming with rabits. Just open in the window witha cup of tea on the sill. Its great.
The skill in bigger game is more in getting within range and to take it down with out pissing off the gillie but sticking the bullet in a good bit of meat. If your ever up my way, take your gun. Can take you to a few place, if your lucky the owner might be in and you could get a shot of his guns. Were re-doing his lodge at the moment. We have put new gun cabnets in the basement for him. There is enough space for 40 odd guns so you will have plenty of choice.
BUt would like a go at rat hunting. Sounds fun.
-
Was reading up that red light doesnt freak the rats out so you can use that if I remember right.
How how much foot work are we talking here? You intrested in the bigger game? Like deer stalking?
I used mine to get rabbits. Dont have much troble with rats. But planning on upgrading this year so I dont ahve to use the break barrol spring one.

What do you use it for? Have 2 old air rifles but dont know wat make they are. Will get some pics up and specs when i know though.

That's how you get shafted by the police. I wanna go to The Fort in Scotland. Looks like the sickest place for airsoft.
Thats why you live in the west coast. Last time I seen a copper up my way was last May when a tourist drove off the road.
Aye I know. looks kickass.
-
Look like a gimp noob when you have a 2 tone one. Just go to an airsoft place, sign up, go 3 times and get your licence. Pow.
Thats why you sand it and give it a paint.
-
Having no experience with airsoft guns, I'm going to suggest something generic.
You seem to have reached a point where the gun is not much use to you as it is, which means if you take it apart, you could fix it, or if you can't, you needed a new one anyway
.
The gun is now in bits in the shed. still no working though
Sorry to hijack but me and a few mates are thinking of getting an airsoft gun, what would you reccomend for a starter gun? Preferably electric and fully automatic. I've looked at a few sites and can't settle on anything.
Depends what type of fighting your planning on doing. I used to carry two guns with me. Had a G8 Well-Fire that I used when things got close and ether a M14 which is the one that fluffed or a Spring L96 sniper.
Don't spend less than £100, and you'll need a license to buy one.
You can get 2 tone ones that you dont need a license for.

Have a Saracen Xile frame kicking about it if you want it.

Find a metal rod then you can put into your bb. Give the puller something to push against. I use a some re-bar or a threaded rod

Tried using the search bar and only found a topic that was about 5 years old so thought I would start another.
People that do airsoft I'm in need of your help. I have an M14 eletric which I think is made by Cyma. I'm getting back into it but finding my gun is jamming. It jams once or twice then fires for a few times but if you dont; fire it for a min or two, i.e. running to new cover it will jam up again. It sounds like the motor cog is hitting against something. Like its trying to turn but it can't. Any idea?
Cheers if you can help.

I went from a BT raven 8.0 to the because. Found it abit cramped at first but now loving it. Highly recomend this frame.
-
don't think I get the point of your comment about hitting the frame? you can hit your cranks, pedals, bars, stem etc if you do stuff badly wrong, the whole point is that you try not to hit them, bash included but it just so happens that the bash is usually the first thing to hit when you mess up a move, so that would benefit the most from being non-marking.
Aye I know but was just saying the bash is'nt the only thing that can do damage.
-
I cant see it. Can anyone post a link?
-
A dampening on the outside of a bashring would be really decent, as you dont damage anything, so then police have no reason at all to move you on
.
Could still hit with the frame though.

Used to cycle about 5- 10 miles on the 24. Its not to hard but start to train once the snow goes. Just need to get used the distance. Also cheat a wee bit and pump your tryes sky high.

Do we no longer have the ability to see if a member has edited their post, or am I going crazy? I've noticed some people have made their posts to say things along the lines of "Oops, meant to say..." or "Edit:...", and there is no little box to state if the post has been edited. I'm not really that bothered about it haha, it's just been irritating me for a few days.
See I'm editing this bit right now.
IT SAYS EDITED ON MY POST BUT NO ONE ELSES BLAAAAH
I can see that your post has been edited.
Edited mine. Can you see it?

Where about do you live?

Could it be his 'good side' is to the right and don't want to bend any discs if he messes up.
Daz.
Did you even look at the pic?
And I ran my disk backwords.More out of rushing to get riding than anything. Never noticed a difference.

I had 1 on my Azonic DH bike and 1 on my old Monty urban trials bike.
For natty or street?

No way choir boy tyres are garbage! I have used them in the past and wouldnt recomend them at all.
What did you use them for?
-
Its for a few reasons. The ones that I can member the now are 1, Lighter set up. 2, Weight is more centered on the bike. 3, Smaller cogs so a better roll over hight.

When ever I try to sign into MSN Messanger(sp) it coes up with a message saying " There might be a problem with your internet connection. Make sure it is connected to the internet, which it is.
Then saying about my firewall not letting it through but it should be as its listed as one of the programs that my firewall lets in.
So any other ideas on how to sort this?
