  1. Looks like someone shoved a cussion under your forehead :P

How long could you not eat properly/were you not allowed to do sports because of that? Want to compare because some b*****d broke my jaw (by hitting me with no reason -.-) 2 years ago and I wasn't allowed to do any sport for 6months..

Nothing bad cycling, just the regular bruises etc. Though I seem to knock my balls often lately :S

Haha i know right, my face was pretty f**ked.

I could hardly open my mouth for about 2 weeks, and the elastic band thingies i had attached to my teeth didn't help much either.

I was living on a diet of mashed f**king potato and milkshakes :P

And now i'm not allowed to play contact sports, although i do still play footy quite a bit, but no rugby, because any impact in the right place on my head could easily kill me.

  2. Well seeing as i've just started seeing this girl i've been into for quite a while,

my New years resolution is to quit the weed, and try not to act like a fanny to her.

If i can pull this off from the 1st Jan to June/July time i should be sorted as those are when all my A levels are finished.

  3. Im running a profile at the minute and want to go to front freehweel. But i think i would need new cranks as i dont think there is enough room for the freewheel. So at the minute im sticking to freehub, but i think FFW is a better setup.

I went from profile to ffw on my old mod.

It was the best thing i ever did. I think it gave me 60 more EP's and you can really feel that difference.

I did have to change my cranks and ofcourse rear hub though, but still think it was worth it.

Bike felt soo more more balanced after that too, because Profile's ain't that light.

I also run front freewheel on my current mod. I'm using the Echo SL and what can i say, this is the best ffw money can buy imo.

  4. Ahh, never noticed this thread. I guess my accident belongs here.

Wasnt on a trials bike though, was on my Fit AM when i used to ride BMX park.

I was attempting a 540 air off of the big quarter at my local skatepark, completely misjudged my landing point which meant that literally, there wasn't one.

Came down onto my face on solid concrete from about 3 metres up in the air. Wasn't actually too painful at the time.

The journey in the ambulance to the hospital was where my forehead started to really f**king hurt. I broke my nose, jaw, and 2 cheek bones aswell but the top of my face was where the pain was at.

Found out the next day after multiple x-rays and that type of shit that i had completely split part of my skull in two, and also broken my neck right at the top on the ring.

So that little tumble left me in my closest hospital for 2 weeks, before getting moved to a different hospital for my operation, and then spending a week in that one to recover from the op.

Then had to wear a neck-brace for 6 weeks too. I had soo much time off school but it was still a pretty shite experience, and it's the reason i always wear a helmet these days ;)

    Oh, and here are some pictures;

    Whadd'you think?

  5. the brakes work brilliantly as to how they feel, but it all depends on what pads you buy. I think rockman greens are the best ive used on a smooth rim, but your best off getting a grind and having some tnns :) a medium grind will also allow your brake to work in the wet, and for this id again recommend tnn lgms. Water and a smooth rim is never going to work

Okay mate, cheers for the info:)

And yeah well the TR comes with Echo pads, these say on Tartybikes that they're well suited to smooth rims so i thought i would give these a try?

Or if Heatsink yellows fit these brakes i was gonna' give them a try too?

    Thankyou,

  6. Hi there, i'm gonna' be spending some of my christmas dollar on a new brake for my Onza Pro.

Which of these is the best value for money? Obviously the SL is going to perform better, but is it worth the extra money?

Oh, and i'm gonna' be running the brake on a standard Onza double wall rim(smooth), so will the Echo brakes even work well on this rim?

    Cheers,

    James

  7. I'ma just throw an opinion into the mix, Black Ops is really not all they hyped it up to be.

I much prefer Call of Duty 4 to any other COD i'm honest.

It was the first Modern Warfare and it seriously owns the rest for enjoyability on Xbox Live, and seeing as that's all I do, i Love it.

  8. Is that not effectively saying the universe is a singular event and that everyone on the planet is actually the same 'being'.

The Mass and Energy are the same vibration.

Pretty much what Bill Hicks was trying to put across when he said what is quoted in my signature.

  9. stop being twats i f**king HATE this place the guys askng for advice and all you fags can do is poke fun get a life for gods sake, id say just wait or go somewhere else cos mix hubs are well sturdy and sound amaing but if your desperate for a wheel full odyssey wheels are like 140 ish and yeah propper wheels are pretty good too, you could spend a bit more and get an eclat teck wich sound soooo nice and are really strong

Cheers mate:) and yeah i'm gonna' order the hub alone from Winstanleys i think and a different rim and spokes with it.

    Thankyou,

  10. Bmx City formally Cyclesport does one off deals farely recently. I saw a V3 Hazard on a Hazard at like £100 or something ridiculous. So you could wait?

The Primo is an excellent hub so if you could get one of them on a decent rim on sale like a Sun/Alex or something with decent spokes you're onto a winner.

    Okay mate, cheers :)

I will keep those two options in mind.

But what about a different wheel from Winstanleys site?

Because that's what i was trying to get at in my first post, sorry if it didn't make sense :P

  11. Hey there, I recently ordered a Primo mix wheel from Winstanleysbmx.

Unfortunately for me, they're not gonna' have the wheel in stock until at least the end of December.

So, because of this the shop has told me I can choose a different wheel instead of the Mix.

So, i came here to ask what are some other decent, and pretty loud, rear bmx wheels?, bearing in mind i only want to spend £160 at max really.

    Cheers,

    James.
