  1. Off topic, but I want to know how much free time you'd have for trials while at uni, because I'm starting next month and I don't want to buy a trials bike now and not have enough time to use it while I'm there. My bad for being OT :$
  2. May have been lightly welded
  3. Getting a second hand one off ebay will always get you a better deal than buying a new bike, have a look on there for a few weeks.
  4. It looks so neat I really really want one eventhough I don't smoke
  5. Things like this make me wish I could ride already
  6. Most people recommend starting on the Onza Pro I think, seems to be the best starter bike and worth the investment
  7. That made me lol so much I talked to a friend today and all she said was 'Thats just stupid'
  8. I was walking through B&Q the other day looking at patios when a staff member walked up to me and asked if I wanted 'decking'. I quickly punched him in the gut before he had the chance.
  9. Hey, I'm Sam I arn't riding a trials bike yet, decided to join here to get advice before I bought one will be getting a 26" as soon as my junk sells on ebay I might have been getting one sooner but I broke my brothers bike jumping off a wall that was about 1' high... I mean... It's supposed to be a jump bike and the derailleur and a spoke broke after only a 1' drop -.- Starting uni in September at Newcastle with Computer Science but hopefully I'll still be able to fit a lot of practice in, hoping to meet some other people there that also do trials but at the moment I'm in Scarborough Trials looks almighty fun :)
  10. I've only ever heard of one or two female trials riders and I was wondering if there's a specific reason for this... Maybe they all spend too much money on shoes so they can't afford a bike I mean, it's not like it's a hugely dangerous sport as long as you're careful and not stupid which is the only deterent I can think of. But it's something you notice in BMXing and MTBing too, hardly any female competitors, it's a shame Thoughts?
  11. It's rather feminin lol, but my laugh is worse I think, it's like a bark The video is entertaining, but there is rather a lot of goofing around instead of actual riding
  12. Sure But chances are if it's soon I'll be without a good bike Add me on msn if you like: tar4d@hotmail.com
  13. Nobody else on here from Scarborough then? Disapointing, I've seen about 5 different people with Mods over the last few days but I guess they arn't on here :(
  14. I don't think the font suits the picture but it's far from bad
  15. Hey, I'm in Scarborough, just joined this place a few days ago and I don't have a trials bike yet, I've had to mess around on my brothers wanna-be jump bike ;(
  16. Thanks everyone, nice and helpful I'll may call tarty bikes in the next few days. Otherwise I think I'll be better off buying the Spyrogyra seen as nobody has said anything negative about it. Cheers.
  17. I think it's about time I took up a new hobby/sport and I think trials seems like the right thing to pick. I have a few friends that do it so I'm not totally jumping into the dark but they ride mods and I'm thinking about starting on a stock bike (Though ultimately I'm interested in riding a 24", I can't afford to start off on one) But I've had a few problems, mainly money and secondly parents. I don't have that much money to get me started as I'm out of a job and I'm starting uni in September so my budget really is £300 max and hopefully it will be less than that. My parents went beserk (really really beserk) when I started talking about getting a bike without a seat, so it has to have a seat, otherwise I will get disowned, seriously! This didn't leave me with much choice on what to start with, the best, I think , is an Onza Spyrogyra. I'm quite tall at 6'2" and I'm not exactly lightweight either, but I'm not overweight or anything like that. Was wondering if you could shoot some advice my way about my bike choice, is it a good starter? Or could I do better? And yea, it's sad that I'm 18 and I'm still not allowed to buy a bike without a seat ;(
