Trials rims are probably stronger for learning on, depending on what rim you get.

Dont know how to change the slaves. Turns out the black crap was just the shadow going onto little rubber shavings from my pads because i drag my brake alot and i just had a new grind so they wore down a bit, I use WD40 to get rid of lasy pistons. Its fine now my brake is working very well. Cheers.

So if i take the pistons out, will i need to bleed it? Also how do i bleed, and do i need 1 or 2 bleed hoses? Also how do i get the piston out? Just took the rear end of the bike to pieces so tell me what to do please

You are not aloud to sell to new members on here, sorry dude. A good place to look is ebay or wait untill you are validated. My advice is wait untill your validated, there is truly fantastic bikes for sale under that price on here, or pick up a cheap t-pro on ebay, they are really good.

I dont know. Right i cleaned my rims and pads because they had oil on them from when i sorted a lasy piston. Then I got another lasy piston, so i fixed that before putting the pads and wheel back on. I think the oil has dripped on the piston/ bit that hold the pad in place, onto my rim/pad. So i cleaned it again, sanded my pads and got a fresh grind. It looks like some black stuff is on my pads just now, yet when i got the grind and sanded the pads, i never touched the thing with oil and i wiped the piston oil-clean. So yeah there is black stuff on the pads and i dont know what it is, im not cleaning them because it will probably be a waste of time considering they had this stuff on them a few days ago and the brake was really good a few days ago. Now I wish i got a double disc echo for my birthday But the thing is... Its only the bite that is bad. The hold is good, is this caused by the lasy piston? Im not quitting as i thought about it and said to myself 'i can still ride it, just with not very good bite.' Oh and I moved my pads out because they worked better that way, and whilst tightening the bolts up i rounded them both. Now i have to pay £5 each for titanium booster bolts Im gonna try ride it, also there is a chance that it was rubbish because of the rain but it wasnt raining at this point, just the grass was wet. I don't have a clue how to do any of that, except for clean the rim and flatten pads. But considering the last few days i have cleaned my rim about 4 times a day... I guess that wont work.

Ahh ... Sorry I'm really angry at my brakes just now. So heres whats happening...: I keep getting lazy pistons and somehow oil keeps getting onto my rim even after sanding my pads and a new grind, the oil isnt the problem though. The lasy pistons... When you have a lasy piston does it make your brake worse? Also my brake with heatsink yellows and a water bleed and is perfectly square is CRAP. The hold is okay but the bite... Someone with no teeth could have a better bite than that. How do I make the bite better? I like to roll on the back wheel so bite is important. Its annoying when i see people with perfect brakes that stay that way, then im really happy cos mine work then the next day it is proper rubbish... One problem straight after the other. Please help as this is making me want to quit trials because my brake has always been like this, every brake i have ever had always failed in some way and i cant put up with it braking every 5 minutes. It sounds like your front disc is contaminated. I think my BB7 is too 'cos it has a wee bit of noise, nothing major though. Dont know about your hope mate, hope you get it sorted Kieran.
