  1. bars and stem are going to be changed soon, just something to get it running... on the front we had no 4 bolt adapters at work so i had to bodge it with a vee adapter, though my disc set up should be arriving soon.. as for the dick on the fork...forks were randomly attacked by one of the guys i work with, though they are being sprayed over the weekend... thinking white would look good. They were a joke forgot to take them out... though they looked funny when hopping around the workshop. Are you using the charge chain?
  2. Bit harsh dude, when you've built something from ground up and its personal to you then its gorgeous. you wouldnt be happy if i said your bike was shit would you?
  3. So here it is, finally... been building for a few weeks (ordering, buying and drooling over parts) Onza t-mag ko forks cheap shite front wheel on maxxis tyre (its temparary only!!) hand built (by me) Onza hub on ViZ rim (built 4cross) hardcore cranks, with tensile freewheel much awaited and looking goood, though as i say its not quite complete... but here are the pics anyway.
  4. Beautiful colour coding, wish my bike looked like that (forks recently got terrorised at work).
  5. Hunter, it is ironnic because he is not english, yet everyone is pretty much tearing into him because he makes a few grammatical mistakes... guys this is getting pretty silly to be honest
  6. broggers add me on msn i may be able to help you
  7. i'm gonna wait till the postie arrives today (tues) till i go in all guns blazing, i honestly want to keep my faith but i'll let you know later on
  8. I see your point and totally understand, but on the other hand, the guy is a member and supposed to be legit...
  9. You need to read the post titled "oh come on...." Its a good reason why the validation system is there and I think it is a good idea, yes some scammers do slip, but all you gotta do is warn the mods and leave it to them I've posted probably about 30 posts in 2 weeks (hopefully all are useful) but am willing to wait even if it takes a year (hoping it doesn't though) Just give it some time dude.
  10. I have a spare fixed sprocket kicking around if you want it (assuming that its got a normal freewheel and not a cassette) and as I will give to you its not selling (therefore getting around the forum rules lol)
  11. Ok in which case the validation system definatly gets my thumbs up and should get everyone elses too, these guys really have thought of everything ... though my silly fault for not looking
  12. use a liquid degreaser... clean streak is good. spray on, fit grip, go riding and wont come off till you need it to!
  13. buy a hanger and i will personally make you a tensioner that is so much better than that :-S by the looks of the top photo there doesnt seem to be any tension on the chain anyway anyway enough bitching about problems at least you used your head and thought of something to at least solve the problem in the mean time...
  14. pop it over to broadribbs cycles in leam and come and see me.... might be able to help
  15. i can see the point of the validation system and its a good idea... but i can also see a few flaws too (sorry guys) new members are only allowed to access the new members section (NMC) thats cool, lets everyone (sort of) get to know you before you get upgraded... yay but it denys you to be able to PM anyone (including mods) this could be a problem... and i'll tell you why recently had a few probs with a member (and its not sorted yet....) but its ment that i cant tell any mods about this.... i just need a mod to keep an eye out for this person, who might be genuine but also could be scamming me.. but alas due to the limitations of the validation system i cant (all i can do is add a mod on msn and pray that he accepts, my addy is a little dubious but its definatly me) so if any mods do read this, add me on MSN on i_hate_hackers_end_of@hotmail.co.uk so i can at least explain the situation... Cheers Ash
  16. ross is correct... also if it is only the first few threads then your local bike shop will have a tap so they can re-cut the first few threads... (it is a tool that is used for cleaning bb shells but it will also recut as it is made from hardened steel)...
