I snapped the blade and its £45 to replace... Just for a couple of peices of light weight metal!! I'll check the site later, off to college now.

Heya guys, a few weeks ago my lever blade on the Marta lever snapped, at £45 for the pair (not sold singly) not including labour this is a very bad path for me to take. I'm wondering if i could just replace the marta lever with a louise or julie?? Links Julie

If my bike is fixed and i'm ready to ride properly (still only just learning forward hops - with a air infested, worn back brake, no front brake and loose bb) then i will hope to come down, got some family in birmingham i could stay with over the weekend. This is a maybe though, will have to speak with parents + ofc get bike fixed :/

Not sure if you know Fergal or not but i recently bought his mod off him, one less you'll see around wakefield i guess :/ When i'm good enough I will start taking weekends out to go riding, you might possibly see me around summer next year

If you don't want to cut them down you can also add spacers. It will make the bars higher though, if you dont like the extra height then follow Borat's advice and cut them.

I had this problem, i got the bike shop to look at it for me as i wasnt sure. I think it was either; spacers are too big or the headset is f**ked. As i've said though i'm not entirely sure on this so don't trust my word 100%

Heat the hose under a hot tap for about 30 seconds then it should slide right over. If that doesnt work then you have to clamp the close in somthing (usually blocks of wood) and hammer the barb in lightly.

Anyway, a few weeks ago my Marta lever blade snapped. At £45 before having to pay for labour this is an option i'd rather avoid. What about using a Magura Julie complete lever? I know they're different systems but as its only the lever it shouldnt matter too much should it? Thanks in advance ~

I'm from crowthorne, i know i can look up people from berkshire but i wanna know if any live near me and names of people etc.. ;D I'm not riding atm, need to replace the BB (got one on order) HS33 lever blade (cant fit it myself -.-) and i need to replace my Marta lever blade as it snapped, dnno where to buy one of those though :/ Was wondering if a Julie lever would work with it....

Ok, sticking with Square taper then, saved myself about £40. I'm fairly new to trials and have never had any experiance with hydrolic brakes, i dont trust myself to fit a HS33 blade or a Marta blade. Anyone else from berkshire (prefer bracknell / crowthorne / sandhurst / camberly / wokingham as its all fairly close to me) that is confident enough to fit them for me? And give a garuntee if they f**k up they will replace the levers? And go for a ride after ofc

Trying to order a new one, this is a balls ache -.- Need a new bb - might aswell upgrade to ISIS - means new cranks. new marta blade - £40 w/o installation Needs HS33 rear lever fitting -.- Gahhh, this is after new forks, headset, cross over on rear HS33... Sold suposidly in 'working order'

Ok. Then its the loose crank again, both the crank and bb are coming loose xD Think i might upgrade to an ISIS

Heya, i was going to order a new left crank as it kept coming loose. I changed my mind however when i noticed i can wobble the bb around in the frame, i know this shouldn't happen and so i'm wondering if there is anyway of stopping this? Thanks

Thanks for the replys guys, the reason im asking about blades is because the marta blade is too expensive, i'll give magura a ring though and find out about getting them to repair it. Getting a new disk is out of the question as its only the blade in the lever thats gone.

It's either missing or i'm being really slow but i couldn't see an edit button. Marta Lever Blade <-- Will these do for the front Marta disk? I wanted a 2finger blade but if thats all that i can get and if it is indeed ONLY marta blades that work then they will have to do. ...Ok i can edit this post, anyway, found out its £72 for the 2finger Marta lever from that site, is there any way to replace the BLADE only for a cheaper price?

Do you know where i can buy a Marta lever blade then? All i can find are the complete carbon levers, all i want is the blade.

Heya, been browsing this forum for a while but only now decided to make an account (nothing to contribute as i dont know enough about trials) Basically, bought the Mod bike from pogonation and the front lever blade snapped, i would replace it straight away but i don't know anything about hydralic disk levers or what blade to use. Can i use any old hydrolic disk blade? I'm wondering because i don't want to use the wrong part and mess it up xD Thanks in advance.
