    Had a fun one at work today. Clocked in at 5am. Half way down the factory I had around 80 parts hanging from the day before, all motionless except for one rack of around 14 parts which where swinging like mad. Nothing else was moving except for these few parts and they where all hanging together. It was a bit eerie and not the first time something like this has happened.

    Must add, no obvious signs of a draught, no one else had been in. They carried on swinging for around an hour and 45minutes... Slowig down then speeding up again. I did take a little video which I will try to add.

    My little polo 6n2 is so much fun to drive and It's only a 1.4 8valve with... 65bhp! I've got it lowered on KW coil overs and it is so good through corners. Had a few little chases off my friends in similar cars with bigger engines and it just grips where their cars don't :) Cheap to get and plenty of them about!

    They have drop links on the front struts, so that rules out any normal A3 or Leon. Could be an Octavia VRS, but I thought they had 312's too.

    Are there any part number stickers on the struts? The letters at the beginning should identify the manufacturer at least

    The sticker on the strut is : 210A 1J0413031BK

    Googled that part number and it comes back as an A3

    Sam: Are they standard 288s perhaps? Think that's what the A3 had as satandard up front, while the S3 had 312s (further still down the range they were running 256mm fronts) - caliper was the same so just depends on disc size.

    Yeah thats a possibility, I'm only going off what I've been told. I got the lot for £40 so I wasn't really too bothered what they came off of considering the condition! Worth less i suppose?

    Guys I've picked up near enough the whole front suspension set up off of what I think is a 2001 S3. It came from my college that had the car donated to them new from Audi so it's basically new. What are they worth? It's whole hub init, abs sensors, os driveshaft, drop links, calipers and new pads and discs?

    Ok guys I'm after some help on modifying my top mount. Id like to go lower on my car but the coil overs are all the way down. I've bought a new top mount to toy around with the idea of basically making it slimmer, therefore bringing the whole strut closer to the vehicles body.
