  1. I'd start out by polishing it by hand using polish with a bit of cut in it. Maybe even try a machine polish but its going at it with a blind eye if you don't know how much lacquer you've got to play with!

  2. I'm the same as Joe here, I don't wish to be surrounded in such so I choose not to be. I do not drink either and have never touched any kind of illegal substance, and having seen what it's done to a close friend of mine I don't think I ever will. As such my social life probably isn't as good as my other friends but it doesn't bother me as I can focus on the more important things. Hearing that my friends got totally f**cked last night in town, ended up on a roof on a multistory and getting beaten up definitely does not appeal to me haha ( you know who you are ;) ) I don't necessarily disagree to people doing such this as it's there choice and if they're enjoy it then good. Makes me sound very ignorant and I suppose I am upon it.

    Just my two cents. :-)

  3. Can anybody shred some light on headlight tinting? (oh the irony..)

I've tinted my front lights with a light vinyl, and it now looks like this:

I asked the MOT testers at the garage i work in and they said as long as it still emits a white light and the beam pattern is correct then they have no reason to fail them on. The 8k HID's that are in there were a bit bluey' without the tints but they're now a much purer white so thats fine. Has anybody had any problems with the police? If they illegal ill have to buy the Fly eye stuff but i thought id try this first as a cheap alternative.

    Cheers!

Edit: Sorry for the really grainy photo!

  4. take the crank off and just shake it, if it still rattles like the one your hearing at the moment then its meant to be like that. :)

Edit: Possibly worse in one position because the bearing holder isnt a perfect circle? Just an idea

  5. Pulled from the Tarty site :

These freewheels may appear to 'rattle' from new - this is down to the bearing system. It would be possible to add an extra bearing in and stop the rattle, however this would then cause the freewheel to lock up!

I take it that this is a different rattle to the one explained above?
