Really enjoyed that. I've been riding for a similar amount of time and your way ahead of me! Its good to see a video of someone who is not yet a superdupermega rider though I'm sure you'll ge there soon.

Thanks everyone. I've just ordered ankle protectors for Tarty Bikes. Hopefully this will help keep my ankle from being in agony. Trev

Is there a competition scene in Scotland? I've just been at the Downhill at Fort William and mostly watched the Trials Competition but searching the web it seems that all of the UK comps are further south.

Does anyone ride with ankle protection? I keep on bashing the inside of my left ankle on the chain stay.

Hey I'm 40 and just started a few months ago as a means of improving skills in mountain biking. Now I'd rather be riding trials. Used to be a roadie, then got the mountain biking bug, then fell in love with trials. Now I can hardly be bothered to use my road bike because falling off my new trials machine is much more fun! Seriously I'm probably an old geezer to most of you but, Aussie Bob (as well as DMac) from youtube has inspired me. I still do road stuff but always look forward to my daily trials routine. Trials has improved my handling skills hugely and provided hours of fun. Trev
