  1. I cant do weekdays as have to work, but we ride Lowey/Yarmo occasionally Norwich every Saturday, you're welcome to join us.
  2. Nice vid, that rock patch looks good fun
  3. Ill pick you up as you're on the way, about 10.15 i should think.
  4. 11 at station is good for me Would be better to drive mate as can leave whenever you want then. Ill give you a lift if you want? Ill get the word out to some others....
  5. Yeah sort of, its not super bad, just like it could do with being smoothed off a bit, im not sure how much these frames are new but i got mine for £130 so a few rough edges is nothing to complain of. The only thing i would say is that there was a line running accross the BB shell threads so the BB doesnt seem to screw in very smoothly. Apart from that its all good.
  6. Yeah they are great hubs, i think ive had mine since 2002, all ive ever had to do is clean and grease it once. Once you get used to the engagement you never want to go back to a standard hub! I would say that as there are a lot of other good hubs around now that are cheaper then the King, (whereas when i bought it, it was pretty much King or Hope) it is probably not as good value as it used to be, but if i had the choice i would still buy one today
  7. Geo is roughly: Top tube - 22.5inch Seat tube - 8.5inch Chainstays - 15.5inch BB hight is 14inch from ground Not sure about the headtube angle, i would guess its the same a a zebdi, which if my memory is correct, was about 74degrees. I sprayed the frame myself and it came out OK The original paint job was very well finished but i didnt like the colour so it had to go!
  8. I did this thinking that the old cog didnt seem that bad but had the exact same problem. Had to go and buy a new cassette to sort it. If you have another cog to try see if that runs, if thats fine then the other one must be worn.
  9. Sort of depends how dirty it is. Last time i cleaned mine i just wetted a bit of kitchen roll with water and rubbed the rim surfice to clean the dust off. This did the trick. Other than that any grease removal product should do a decent job, just make sure you clean it off the rim after. I dont have a grind though, that wire brush idea seemed to make sense so maybe give that a try.
  10. Sure do: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=3442 Its Ford marine blue i think, cant be sure without a trip to halfords lol! Yeah it would look cool but i think i would miss the extra clearance of the mini seat. Yeah everyone says that when they ride my bike, maybe i have weird gorilla hands or something. Its on the seafront at Lowestoft, theres loads of rocks there and they get madder as you go down Thanks for the comments
  11. Cool, are you running a grind or anything? If not try giving the rim a good clean, that usually brings some of the performance back.
  12. Im running crv's too, cant fault them, theyre nice and sharp and hold really well, so long as its not wet. Depends, does your lever feel spongy? If not maybe its the pads? Im currently running Deore vees front and rear, XT levers and clarkes cables (althouth i would have got XTR if i could at the time). All weather pads on front, crv on rear. Ive never felt the need to have a booster, so long as you have decent pads set up well it should be fine
  13. These are just a couple of pics of the Marino frame i bought from ZeroMatt. The frame is simular to a zebdi geometry but its a little bit shorter. I havent got the measurements but can post them if anyone wants to know:
  14. Hi mate,

Just seen your comment. I think there is a Norwich ride fairly regularly but i havent ridden there yet this year.

We mostly ride Lowestoft and Yarmouth which are both a train journey away from Norwich. We usually ride on a Saturday, i could let you know if we are comming that way for a ride as we are planning to try and ride Norwich sooner or later.

    Jimbo.

  15. XTR cables, ive always used them and theyre well smooth, i think ive got clarkes at the moment, theyre good but not quite the silky feel of the XTR ones! Use plenty of grease, cant go wrong then.

  17. Yeah count me in mate, where should we meet? I reckon we should be that way by 11ish!
