  1. Its practically touching at the moment, 1mm space maybe, but when you ride as you put power down there is flex in the frame and cranks so i have already worn a little groove.

Problem is i have only just built the bke, so as i ride im bound to have to tighten the cranks as they settle in again, and i cant afford for the ring to get any closer!

Thanks for your help, if you do have a link to any of those BBs you were talking about i would like to check them out :)

As a last resort ill have to get a smaller front ring and mess with the gears, i like the ratio i have at the moment though.

  2. Couldnt agree with Leon more! The Zebdi was the perfect all rounder, ive just broken my third one and im well gutted because there is nothing like it anymore, so im stuck :(

    Bring it back someone! lol!

  3. Cool come join the fun lol! :)

Yeah i live in oulton broad so lowey was the usual riding spot, alot of the decent spots along the seafront got flattened by the council but there's still stuff there and if you head in the other direction theres a lot of rocks on the northern sea defence that are ridable, we always used to meet down there but they've fenced that off now :(

  4. James didnt know you still had your bike this is dave; james betts mate havnt seen you in a while how have you been?

Hello mate, i still have the bike, dosnt get out much anymore though im afraid! Think i last saw you in Norwich, that must have been quite a long time ago now lol! Would be good to get some riding in before the weather gets reaaaaly tripe. Let me know if you guys are ever comming down. I might come up norwich again some time ill have to let you know!

In answer to Jamie East, yes there is a lot of small bits and peices and a mixture of rocks and street, whatever takes your fancy. Altho the council foolishly knocked down alot of the stuff in town and towards the seafront :@

  5. That's rubbish when you have to do that, but that's not because you go a loan. It's becasue you sold the car before you finished paying for it. By choice???

You should have saved for a new car so that the money you got for selling your previous car was used to pay off the loan. The fact that you didn't pay the loan off indicated that you used the money to get another car. So that means you are paying £130 for your current car in effect.

If you look at the bigger picture, you are in the position you are in becasue of your own decisions of selling the car early/not using the money from the car to pay the loan off/not saving for your next car.

True but i was in the position of not being able to save for a new car because i was still paying off the one i had! What i should have done is kept the car until i had paid it off and then saved for a new one, so i do see what you mean. It was my own fault. I think if you're good at managing your money you'll be alright, what i found out is that im not!

  6. I got a loan out to buy a car and have regretted it pretty much ever since. Still paying £130 every month for a car i sold 2 years ago gets tedious really fast. I always find myself needing bits and bobs for my current car and thinking that extra cash would be really handy.

If you think that you can handle the payments easy enough and your planning to keep the car for a while then go for it but circumstances can change quickly and your gonna have those payments to make for a minimum of two years.
