  1. Hey everyone...

I know there was alot of posts over manchester rides,, but know then weather is turning around I want to get these manchester rides happening...

Is anyone interested in having a look around town for some spots and getting out and about.

    Please reply

    Cheers

  2. defo sealed bearings. My brothers got the TR rear wheel, and with me setting it up, I can say it does. Brilliant wheels in my opinion. I can personaly say the echo hubs are brilliant. As mentioned earlier, im running the tr hub and is super smooth :)

Sweet cers for cleaing up mate... i know what my next investment is then

  3. Hi,

Cheers for the advise, the link that Sam posted helped alot i have been looking around and some of the info on wheels on tarty bikes tells you whether its sealed bearings or not. And that link doesn't say. I know Sam replied saying they are, just wondering if thats definate because just wanna make sure before i buy.

    Cheers

  4. yh... u said you ride supermoto... so its the same gears obviously but instead of going through te box again and again you normally pick a gear for that part of the section and stick with it unless you run out of revvs on hill climbs or change your mind... but the gear lever is further awat on trials bikes to prevent the change of gears by accident whilst in the section. And yeah 5th and 6th are only really used for getting from section to section XD hope this sorted it some more xx

  5. Hey mate,

Ive had to sort out my mates cones on his onza Pro wheelset a few times but they are still ok.

With an open bearing that uses cones, they will inevitably come loose from time to time. Just keep checking them and all should be good :)

However if the bearings are destroyed then yes I would recommend moving to sealed bearing hubs. Both my hubs are sealed bearings and have been running my rear Echo TR hub and front Hope Pro 2 for around a year with no issues at all, still silky smooth.

And as for where and what to get parts wise, I would choose nowhere other than Tartybikes. Brilliant service, reliable and very helpfull should any inquirys arise.

As for parts the Echo TR complete wheels are brilliant. Would look good on the Pro too.

    Echo TR front 20" complete

    Echo TR rear 19" complete

    Hey pal...

yeah cheers very helpful... te link u sent is that complete cartridge hub too or just wheel i cant see my comp wont load it properly. XD cheers will check out tartybikes then.

    cheers mate xx

  6. Right, come on let's get this sorted out!! I've finally recovered from the Leeds ride weeks ago haha (Still a few scabs to remove at my leisure) and I've got some brakes so shouldn't get so beaten up this time! Contrary to what most people say there's actually some pretty good riding in Manc so get out and ride!

    Oli

Hey oli... yeah this is exactly what we need... do you fancy having a quick scan round stockport then if dont find anything get the train into town?

  7. Found the video on tartybikes site. Its open for bikes permantly. They are still building new trails for the cross country/mtb riders and hopefully building new trials sections.

There is quite a lot up there for trials riders from beginners to top riders.

I have only been riding about a year and i love riding at Lee quarry.

Ok, well i will have to get up there.

Not sure on my ability yet... never really done proper sections, or rock terrain, just street stuff that i can find, maybe sort out a ride with us lot from manchester up there?

Sort out this manchster trials scene, lets face it. Theres hardly anyone riding round here right?

  8. Lee mill quarry is the full name, i think. Its in Rossendale between Bacup and stacksteads.

Its mainly setup for moutain bike trails, some nice sections. There are loads of rocks and some man made trials bits, such as concrete posts, logs, cable drums Etc.

There have been a few trials comp's up there, tyke trial .

Here is a link to a video

    And another link http://adrenaline-gateway.co.uk/LeeQuarry.aspx

That video is ace... where you find it?

Erm... can u just go and pay and play sort of thing? or is it just a quarry? or ...

    lol

Whats ability like up there because am fairly new to trials is it worth goin up there yet or not?

  9. I know lee mill quarry is in bacup and back cowm isnt far from it so rochdale could well be the right place, the tarty boys will know :)

Yeah this is rochdale i jsu trecognised the graffiti wall... never took bike up there goin tomorrow though so will take that up too. XD

  10. Will do, next time I can afford a trip home for it ;)

It hasn't gone unnoticed to me that its only the proud few in Manchester that seem to be aware of trials, maybe we'll all gather and start something.

Riding a blade at the moment, I'm going to be rusty though, it has been a while since I've ridden properly

Awesome dude, I remember that day well. You and Lazenby had a lovers tiff half way through ;)

Hey ... you guys are the only people I can find thats round Manchester.

I'm George and live in stockport btw Oli.

I am dying for people to ride with.

I am fairly new to trials and want to go in groups and learn.

    Where abouts in Stockport?

    Cheers

  11. Hey everyone.

I live round the manchester (more stockport) area, and really want people to ride with.

Am a beginner, just gettib=ng the hang of trials really but when I go out I end up doin the same things over and over.

I looked on Rides and locations and no rides for manchester seem to be happening?

Was wondering the reason for this or if anyone does ride that area?

    Cheers

  12. hey mate
