Easy as that? Good to know. Should I have a gap between the olive and the end of the hose?
The olive should be loosed on the hose, and leave a gap of about 2mm from the end of the hose and where the olive is, hopefully someone else can confirm this though..
-
Hello. I'm getting rid of my braided hose and Buying a plastic hose with two shroud nuts and two olives. I've fitted barbed fittings to hoses before but not sure how to go about fitting the shroud nut and olive. Do I need to buy magura clamping blocks, or can you fit them by hand?
Any help appreciated. Thanks.
Slide the shroud nut onto the hose, then the olive, then tighten, done.

Where do you get the pink rim tape from? nice bikes by the way.

I changed from LGM to Rockpad and loved it, LGM would not work for me at all, I'd recommend them..
-
What pads are on the black bike (Gu?) and nice riding!
-
If you want to slow down, yes.
If you want to do trials, no.

How can you not use snail cams then?
-
what frame?
-
Snail cam? Chain tug?
-
Don't order from trialparts.

I'd check out the new Saracen range.. The shop I work in stock them, the Saracan Amplitude Terminal is £399 and is a really nice bike to ride. Green one btw.

Or One persons harsh grind could be another persons light grind
Went for LGM's, had them on before, but I put the Refills in and they were never that good, but these are amazing. Cant ride it cause my Echo TR caged pedals have snapped..
-
Basically I'm ready for new pads, and would like the best hold and bite possible, also do you find you get a better grind with a thick or thin disc? I don't care how much I spend as long as I get the best brake possible.
Thanks Shane.

Hey
Bought a new rear wheel and it's too wide to fit the brakes on!!! so ordered some offset mounts but was just wondering whats the biggest size wheel a phase 1.2 can take with brakes set up perfect?
Cheers
My mate has a 47mm rim on his, with offset mounts.

Avid is part of SRAM, so it should be fine.

ok so ive been buying new bits for my bike, i dont ever look at the weight etc, i just bolt it on and ride..
just bought some new tyres which weigh around 1000g each where as my holy roller set weight 780g back and about 700 front??
does it really matter? adding a little extra? i mean danny macaskill rides with a pretty hefty bike and he's doing alright?
just pondering it really..
cheers, Carl.
I had a super light rear tyre, about 550g and I switched to a Maxxis Minion 2.5 which is 1.3kg and I found I could gap easier and further, maybe different on street.

Thisis the same, but they dont hold grinds well and are apparently weak.
