  6. Hey I'm soon getting a freewheel, fixed sprocket and cranks, and was just wondering what the best gear ratio for my mod bike is? I was thinking 18T front and 13T back. What do you think? Thanks
  7. Mate, put it ebay with a reserve of like £1000, and see how much it would go for. that way, you can see how high the bidding goes, and if it goes over 1000, youre getting a real good deal. Give that a shot.
  8. Hey I was looking at echo urban yeah, but weight is kind of an issue because the back of my bike is on the heavy side. I'm definitely not ruling out echo urban though Any other recommendations? Thanks
  9. Hey I'm looking at buying a new rear rim soon, and can't decide which one would be best. I would really prefer a coloured on (red or gold) Can anyone tell me which are good 19" rims? Thanks
  10. Camera is outta battery and all the stuff is in the garage so cant get pics today, will get them tomorrow. I live in Kinross, Scotland, between Perth and Dunfermline - where T in the Park is.
  11. This clamp thing is like at the top of the steerer tube, and looks like it stops the forks from falling down. It seems to be in the same place as the crown Im sure it doesnt matter too much, as long as the top cap tightens the forks and stops them falling/snapping/wabbling its all good Is there anyone who can explain to me what exactly i need to do to swap to new forks? Thanks Sorry the clamp is at the BOTTOM of the steerer tube, not top.
  12. Im sure I do, but the main problem is fitting NEW forks on tomorrow when they arrive. I dont know what i need to switch over from old to new forks/how to do that, how to fit a new star nut in new forks steerer tube. my god im so thick help
  13. The top of the steerer tube is about half a centimeter from the top of the headtube. I havent missed any spacers. the forks were fine before i took them apart. i just dont know what to do to fit them back together, or to fit a new set of forks on. thanks for being patient with this
  14. Right cheers, but that clamp was tight when i took the forks off, any idea what its for?
  15. Yeah the pic helped, but on my forks i have this clamp thing, like a ring with an allen bolt through it, and that seemed to stop the forks sliding down. When i tried to re-assemble them, this clamp wouldnt tighten, and just slided up and down. This made the forks all wobbley.(even with the stem and bars on)
  16. Well I took my old forks off cos my new ones (echo urban) are coming tomorrow. I tried to fit the old forks back together and didnt know what to do - headset crown where everything goes I need to be able to fit the forks tomorrow when they come, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

  21. Damn, this guy^ must be solid Whats the whole point of a forum...oh yeah, to get help from people so you dont mess it up.
  22. Hey, thanks for that. I have a clamp thing that holds the forks up, and i cant get it to tighten because it only just fits over the steerer tube, so the forks wabble when the stem is on and fall down when the stem isn't on. What can i do? Cheers.
