  1. Hey I'm really stuck on replacing forks. Can someone give me like detailed instructions pleeeaaasseeeee! Not too sure which part is the crown, so if you could help me with that too, it'd be great! Thanks a lot.
  2. Trials-uk, but peoplehave told me it's dodgy Haven't seen then anywhere else though Check it out on that site
  3. I haven't bought many new parts so i haven't needed t take my bike apart. But thanks for the help. Also, may be a bit stupid but, what exactly is the crown? I cant get the forks to stop falling back through the headtube and i dunno what to do... Thanks
  4. Quite simply, i have tried out many frames and knowthe geometry i like. I asked about changing forks because i have never done it before. Only been riding about 7/8 months How do you cut the steerer tube? like, using what? Thanks
  5. Yeah cheers Adam, I was just trying to see if the disc would fit, I wasn't particularly expecting it to really, but i didn't think the rotor has much to do with the forks(i thought it was just the caliper that had something to do with the forks) I will be ordering new forks tomorrow from tartybikes So if i get the echo urban disc forks, the rotor will fir no problem? Thanks
  6. It doesn't matter because I've tried it both ways round and it still doesn't fit right. You got any more suggestions as to how to make the brake and rotor fit? Thanks
  7. Hey man, I was looking at new frames too and people have told me that ZOO! lynx is a really good frame, but I'm goin for Echo lite 09, as people have said it is nearly exactly the same as ZOO! lynx, and i Like the geomentry better on it. Thanks.
  8. Hey I have just bought some Echo Urban forks and want to fit them to my Monty 219 Alp which has monty forks. I would appreciate it if you could explain to me step by step how to remove old forks and fit new ones, or direct me to a good clear website. Thanks.
  9. Hey No my forks havent got a disc mount, i thought i would try and see if just the rotor would fit. i didnt know it would make a difference to the rotor fitting on if i didnt have disc mounts (as the mounts on the forks are just for the caliper) I will try to fit it all when the new forks arrive Thanks a lot, been a real help.
  10. Right lads cheers for all the help. I'm gonna wait till the new forks come then I can always ask you if it still doesnt work You got msn? or i suppose i could just PM you Cheers
  11. They are Monty forks, not sure what ones, they came with the bike. I am buying new forks, do you think the disc will fiit better on those? Here they are: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=10921&category_id=13 Thanks

  14. I have a 20" bike with the following front wheel: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=11189&category_id=20 HUB http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=236&category_id=26 RIM http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=10168&category_id=94 SPOKES Thanks
  15. Aw cheers mate, thats brilliant. I think the problem is exactly how you said it. I have the second kind of bolts by the way, allen heads. And its just like the top, larger part of the bolt that catches on the forks. So i think if i get smaller/shorter bolts, that will fix the problem. Do you know where i can get any of the smaller/shorter bolts? Thanks a lot. Hey again Ive just tried to screw it on again and it seems that, even using a smaller screw, the rotor wont fit on What can i do now? HELP!
  16. Allen bolts, why? does this make a difference? what should i do? Thanks
  17. Hey I have just tried to fit my disc rotor onto my bike, and the screws that screw into the hub fit the threads fine, but when i tried to turn the wheel, the screws were too long (when fully screwed into the hub) and were catching on the forks If i get new forks (echo urban) will the disc rotor fit or will i have the same problem? Appreciate any advice/answers Thanks
  18. Anyways. I have ordered all my trials stuff (so far) from tartybikes, and all of my mountain bike stuff from chain reaction cycles, and have had no problems with either store. The only reason I would buy my forks from tartybikes instead of selectbikes is because I know tartybikes better. if i knew if select bikes was good, i would buy from them aswell, but because i've never ordered from them, i dont know what theyre like! Thats why i asked on this forum!
  19. Right mate, the only reason i want to buy from Tarty is cos i have never bought from anywhere else. Thats why i asked if Select Bikes was good to buy from, because if it is good, i will buy from there. if its bad, i wont. i just didnt want to buy from a shop that everyone (except me) knows is a crap store Thanks
  20. what is different about them like? 108 click, 9 pawl, 18T which is what i want, and rockman is 4grams heavier Not much different to me it seems
  21. yeh man i'm pretty sure it has an adaptor on it thanks
  22. what did i tell you shane, they would all say get urbans cos they are better. I am getting urbans for my 20" monty 219 alp after seeing on trials forum that echo sl snap easily so thanks
