  1. To be honest I have better forums, with nicer people, to waste my time on. I see why you need a validation system. Feel free to say what you will. I'm logging out and won't be logging back in. Didn't get a chance to use the badger smiley, so I think I will end with that
  2. I guess someone people know how to treat new people and some don't. To those who do
  3. No problem, some people can't help being a d*ck, it's not your fault.
  4. Not at all, I manage to find it every day, somedays even on the first attempt
  5. Getting ridiculously crowded. At the very least I need to relocate the camper awning SAM_0076 by fatwomble, on Flickr
  6. Thought they were leaving it a bit late in the day, so I tracked the parcel on the DPD web site. Noted as - Can't find my house So I am now having to go and pick it up. At least I will have it tonight (although it's dark, cold and wet, so riding it will have to wait until Saturday )
  7. Cheap cables off ebay have always done me ok, as suggested above, keeping them lubed helps.
  8. an olive is the bit on the left. If a plastic hose a stanley knife will be fine. I would check the manufacturer of the brakes for a guide to changing the hose. There's normally one downloadable on their web site.
  9. Grip shift is easy to remove, then just buy a pair of new grips
  10. In answer to the various questions Yes, it's a new bike I live in Durley (next to Bishops Waltham) My Son is 13 (nearly 14) I was expecting it to be a bit of a slow process, especially as I am very late to start learning (I realise 42 is positively ancient). I hope my son will stick with it, but I think the PS3 may keep him from practicing Looking forward to the weekend
  11. Order just placed for an Onza Hitman Mastering the art of trials DVD arrived in the post today. Christmas holiday period is coming up, hopefully by the new year I will be able to do some of the basic stuff (or I will be in plaster or hospital) I also hope to get my son interested, tried with Mountain Biking but he didn't enjoy it, hopefully he will find this more fun. Wish me luck
  12. Old git at 31, what does that make me at 42
  13. X Factor (in the other room). Not been enjoying it though
  14. As the title really, I can get an Onza Spyrogyra for £205 (SS) or a Onza Hitman for £225 (Geared). Do I want / need gears when starting out?
  15. Very nice, I like the indoor set up.
  16. Just need to sort myself a bike now (oh and learn to ride it properly)
  17. Thanks for those of you who validated me
  18. 5, see here - http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/index.php?showannouncement=3&f=13
  19. Thanks, I think I have been swung in the 26" direction, as that is what I'm used too. I won't rule anything out though. Onza does look like the bike of choice though when starting out.
  20. This is a new one on me, from what I have seen above it is likely that I'm going to have to grind my rims (unless using discs). Is there a guide to how it should be done / what they should look like. Taking a grinder to anything is a scary thing, especially when it's something that you are relying on to hold you up. Any advice appreciated thanks.
  21. Just saw them as I was flitting through ebay looking for bikes, if I hadn't posted here I would have posted the car forum I frequent. I am going to struggle to add much relevant content though as I have no experience to offer. I'm a fanatical MTB rider, but although they both involve pedals and 2 wheels, there is little that appears to be that similar. Give me a chance
  22. So I can have the excuse to buy and wear one of these Just not sure which one to get
  23. Excellent, so I do have a chance then, going to have to watch his previous vids to see how he progressed over the 3 years. and thanks for the vote (just found the fully smiley list )
  24. Thanks. Better get looking in ernest then Thinking of upgrades already and I haven't even got a bike yet Thanks
  25. 2 of my current bikes. No trials bike yet though Ti Hardtail P8141272 by fatwomble, on Flickr Common as muck Orange 5 (still love it though) DSCF0026 by fatwomble, on Flickr
