  1. Facebook's pish for videos - just register with vimeo, upload your shizz, then paste the link into your forum post. And if you've got a windows PC, you can download windows movie maker for free. It's not too bad - very easy to edit a few clips together and stick on some music.
  2. Yass ghetto jumping You a weegie? Come say hello sometime!
  3. So we've been building some new ramps for doing bike stuff at community events etc. There are four ramps and four boxes, and it's all modular so you can transport it easy and have loads of different combinations - fun boxes, spines, quarter pipes. If anyone wants the dimensions I could post them up. Also got a new Kodal Playsport camera, with a fish eye adapter. Does 720p at 60fps for slow motion. Camera, fish eye, extra battery, case, and 16gb card for about £130! Anyways, short video - just messing with the camera and one of the ramps.
  4. Hello - soon as the spring arrives am hoping to get out and find a few spots, there's loads. Getting into trials cos mtb'ing is hard in the city! Got a couple of friends into it too - drop by our workshop sometime :) www.deilsonwheels.org

  5. Cheers mate, yeh I've been on it for about half an hour after work yesterday, and today it's frikkin snowing! Feels nice - pretty similar to my friend's fourplay. But cheaper
  6. So, about 2 weeks ago I swapped a Whyte mtb frame for some cash and a bunch of 24" trials bits... excuse for a new bike! Started off with complete front wheel, rotor, rear hub and rim, cranks, bash, bb, freewheel, forks, hope mono, pedals. Bought frame, bb, seat, tyres, tubes and stem from al_fel. Bought new isis cranks off zian wang. Bought spokes and star nut off tarty. Bought Maggie off ebay. Bought headset bars and grips off CRC. Now... SKINTO! But nice new bike, monochrome colour scheme pretty much a fluke. All I got to do now is learn to ride the thing Had a quick shot tonight and it feels ace. Spec: Frame, bb, hubs, rims, forks, cranks, freewheel: all Echo Bash: Because Pedals: Eclat Headset: FSA pig DH Stem: Trialtech Bars: Brave Deluxe Grips: DMR lock-on Fr Brake: Hope mono Rr Brake: Magura HS33 Tyres: Holy Roller All that's left to do for now is maybe find a brake booster, and grind the rim. Job's a good un. Thanks to the trials forum punters I bought stuff off
  7. Ordered spokes and a star nut 3am Tuesday, arrived first post Thursday. Wheel built up perfectly. It's Tarty for the win! Thanks
  8. I'm just getting into trials at the ripe old age of 34, but here's what I've found in other situations where I've lost my mojo. How about getting off your trials bike for a bit? Borrow a mountain bike or a road bike and razz that about for a few days. Push your boundaries a little elsewhere. When you come back to trials you'll have a fresh approach and more rounded skills, and drops might not seem such a big deal. Sometimes you need to get straight back on the horse, sometimes you need to leave the horse be and ride another one for a while.
  9. If it's skipping badly your chain might be stretched and the teeth worn down on the ring. If the teeth look like shark fins (not symmetrical) you're gonna need a new ring and chain. To get a seized lock ring off, put your lock ring removal tool in a vice and drop the wheel onto it. Make sure everything's square and seated nice, then give the wheel a short sharp heave clockwise. 2 or 3 goes and it should shift.
  10. Hello mate check out this vid - may be your hemispherical washers are incorrectly aligned! http://www.pinkbike.com/news/tech-tuesday-avid-cable-brake.html
  11. DON'T use a hammer and screwdriver on this type of bb. You'll wreck it and end up with all kinds of hassle later. Be patient, take it to your lbs or order the tool. Proper tools are ace - invest in them as you need them and you'll save yourself a load of time and money in the long term.
  12. Hello Forum, I work at a cool little cycling/recycling project in Glasgow, check out www.deilsonwheels.org for info. Been wanting to build up a nice wee 24" project for myself for a while but my mountain bike sucked all my spare cash. I've scored almost everything I need now except for a frame so I'm on the hunt. Anyways - everybody is welcome at our workshop, you can hire out a work stand and tools for £4 an hour or volunteer time instead. Or if you can help out demonstrating trials skillz to the local yoofs (including us) that would be awesome! See you 'round Monty
