Normal. Its because the springs are so stiff to ensure accurate engagement.
Prefect thanks @Adam@TartyBikes
Just wanted to be sure that it was normal, I’m assuming with after bedding the freewheel in and riding it a while this will dissipate ?

Hi all,
I recently bought a comas 108.9 freewheel. Upon installing it I have noticed that if I backpedal the cranks with the wheel in the air that the drivetrain moves with it. Is this due to it not being bedded in yet or the chain being too tight ?
any advice is much appreciated
thanks
Mike

Yeah, should be fine for a while I reckon.

Great news will keep riding it whilst saving on the side for a replacement when the time comes. Bashing continues...

I ran a profile hub back in the day for about a year, the first time I took it apart I realised I was only running 2 pawls. Pretty sure they skipped like f**k though.
what rim did you run it to i have had no luck trying to find a 36 hole rim that is suitable
-
does anyone know of a good 36 hole rim i can buy if not can i lace a 32 rim to a 36 hub ?
-
Thanks I see where you are coming from but would I be able to run the profile for a while and then change to those pawls and springs,Don't need to but it's considered a worthy upgrade, think it's only 9.99 for new springs and pawls. Makes them a lot louder too.
Still cheaper than a hope
Does anyone have an idea of how long a profile would last and how well it deals with rain
-
So once I have bought one I need to replace all the pawls and springs ? Doesn't seem worth it
?

so my echo sl packed in today and i am just thinking of what is the best option. I am in between buying a profile mini cassette hub and swapping my ffw to a screw on sprocket.i am just wondering on how well profile's last and how dependable they are. i know they are seen to be very good in the bmx world and would just like to know if they will do a better job than a sl ? thanks

Okay thanks for the clarification.
is there any precise way to tell when the freewheel is bedded in? I know the usual process of riding non trials moves for a few hours and speeding up the process with gt85 or wd40
