When I saw a hookworm on my mates bmx it looked tiny. Incredibly thin making me think it would be good And light..... I was wrong

i have recently rawed my steel frame and even with a couple layers of lacquer there was still a slight bit of rust on my frame after one nights ride. is this due to the frame being slightly wet when i sprayed it or is it due to something else ? Help please ?
-
cheers mate gonna work the weight out tonightThats a pretty cool looking bike seeing it built up, doesnt look heavy either.
-
Sure could where areas do you want to seecould you take closer pics of different weld areas?
glad you have it fixed, now get out and make a vid, chap!

Just a quick question, I I am keeping this frame raw now how many layers of laquer will I need. I would rather it didn't rust and then eventually crack ??
-
I have a question. Was mikeys frame light weight tubing or the mid or heavy ?
I remember jaf offering the three strength frame options.
twas mid weight tubing

Il do it now bud . It's more more to worry about than the crack in the gusset !
??

Ok mikey do u also know there's a crack all the way around the seat tube too ?
no could you put a pic up or send it to me ?.
-
,this frame consists of HAZ
sorry i am pretty clueless at welding but what is HAZ ?
leigh they might want to see the crack on the gusset aswell ?

Trialtech disc brakes?
Maybe just a typo might have been hope tech - trial but don't hold me to that !

No he said he wouldn't fix I quote this message from him.
"Sorry chap, but jaf bikes is closed now. I would give you some compensation, but the warranty period has come to an end on your frame aswell as the company no longer being registered." So Leigh booth has kindly offered to fix it for free.

might make the trip weather depending

mad riding, that manual line was a little hectic though, haha

Rapid progression is rapid! Look so much more composed already.
It looks as if you're overcoming it by yourself (in the brown concrete one) but if you're having trouble with hook-type manoeuvres, go in with the mindset of just not stopping (the blue brick one).
If you hesitate, you start going downwards. I find I have to switch through as soon as you hit the wall. Going up from a point where you're already going down is really hard - to the point where on vertical walls you have to preload pretty much before you've hit the wall
(That's just a tip, by the way - it's just that it took me a long time to figure out so thought I'd save you the potential irritation. You'll likely find your own, better way - mine's not sophisticated: hit it fast and hit it hard )
Thanks flipp, the feedback has helped alot. I find i just hit the wall and hope that leaning foward will get me up .
