  1. Yeah, cheers Pinky. I've posted it on the Ubuntu forum and on Bit-Tech, but no-one ever replies, whereas here at least someone will read it!
  2. I'm new to linux, and i've managed to install Ubuntu Warty on an old Gericom T3 laptop. I've got everything working and am on the net through my wired LAN. The laptop is a 900mhz Celeron, with 120mb ram and a 10gb HDD. Basically i've got a Twinmos B-Series WIFI PCMCIA card that i want to use with this laptop to set up an ad-hoc network with my other laptop (running XP) Ive used the wifi card with the gericom laptop before, under windows 98, so i know it works. I've installed drivers using ndiswrapper and on typing "ndiswrapper -l" i am presented with:"Installed ndis drivers: net8180 hardware NOT present" The strange thing is that the card is listed in the hardware manager as being connected. Any help/input appreciated!
  3. Those are some crazy side repeaters on the wings! What year/model is it? :P Some black wide-arches and some wide wheels would look great. PS. BRG looks ok, but i'd keep it yellow

Why don't you close the gaps up? It looks a lot better. Will post a couple that i've done in a sec.
  5. Not to mention playback for .ogg, .wma, and all the other lossless audio formats. And why not throw .avi and .mpg into the mix too. (as well as the obvious .mov) Nice concept alexx, lets hope that one day they get round to it!
  6. Lush, i want one! Will get me a small wheeled bike once i've shifted enough of the giant. :)

  8. Ruuuude! Thats a lovely looking beast, if its as good as the ad makes out you'll have a classic on your hands! Great choice. :(
  9. Cheers for that John, i really want a bmx for the summer though. Assuming i get about £400 for the Giant parts on ebay, what would you reccomend? I've had a Hoffman Dirt Merchant 2 before and i really liked that, especially the bars. I'm about 172cm tall and i weigh aboutu 75kg. (Y)
  10. So what start price should i put for the frame? I want it to sell, but not for too cheap! (Y)"
  11. Do you really think the frame's worth that much? Its not dented or cracked, but it has a few scratches on the top tube and down tube. The CRMs are practically brand new, they've been used for about 2hrs. Thanks for that, do you think i should put the start prices at that, or a bit lower and hope they go up? (Y)
  12. Anyone want to put forward start prices for the parts then? I'm quite prepared to do that, and you're probably right. I know the frame's heavy. Frame:- Giant Trials Team 13.5" Forks:- Giant Trials Front Wheel:- Hope XC (black) on Mavic X517 Rear Wheel:- Hope XC (black) on Mavic D521 (very worn grind - first one on rim) Rear Tyre:- Maxxis High Roller 2.35 Rear Tube:- Nokian DH Rear Brake:- Magura HS-33 (black) Plazmatic CRMs Front Brake:- Hope Mini Booster:- Carbonique Headset:- Cane Creek Sealed Stem:- Megamo Trials Bars:- Echo Flat Bars Grips:- Monty Rubber Grips Rear Mech:- Shimano Sora (locked out) BB:- Shimano UN-53 Cranks:- Middleburns 175 - Pro trials guard Pedals:- VP Saddle:- Onza Mini-Seat - no foam Chain:- KMC Kool Thanks for helping me out guys.
  13. Its a 20.5" top-tube and i'm about 5'11 (172cm) Sound about right? I was planning on getting some Hoffman jump bars as i love the shape of those, but the bars haven't been cut down. Anything else i should consider? Thanks for this Mark, i really appreciate it.
  14. That link has the cranks for £70 I've seen the frame for £215 I'm gonna assume that the hubs are open bearing: £33 Thats come to £315 already... (Y)
  15. Could well be that kit. In fact it almost certainly is. Put it this way, the most i would concievebly get for my Giant would be about £400? This bike (so he says anyway) cost £600 and has hardly been ridden. Thanks for putting some doubt into my mind, but it seems like an ok deal to me....?
  16. I'm under the impression that they're macneil too...? Basically i'm having problems selling the giant, and if i put it on ebay i'm gonna have to sell at a huge loss, so this is probably a more cost effective way of getting a decent bmx. Any other thoughts?
  17. Ello, Most of you have seen that i'm trying to swap my Giant for a BMX? Finally i've got an offer that i like the sound of: Its a Macneil Jay Miron with Ultimate Hardware cranks, Prolite hubs (freewheel) and the macneil finishing pack. Do you reckon this is a fair swap? Thanks people!

  19. Hehe, mk1 Fiestas rule! My best effort was taking the rust off my mini... (Y)
  20. Try This link and you might have more luck... (Y)
  21. Your mini looks great Prawn, some really cool little touches. Could you take a pic of the interior and the engine bay? Also, where did you get your rear number plate light from, its pretty trick. :ermm: Finally, i think the front end would look better with clear indicators... :P Edit: Shouldn't a car of that age have side repeaters on the wings (it looks weird with the cutouts on the arches) :P"
  22. .mp4 any ideas for playing that beasty? Answers on a postcard... :ermm:
  23. Shame about the wheels on the Escort. If you've got a 98 Copper you shouldn't have 10" wheels! They'll most likey be 13s. Still nice though :) Also 5.5" is skinny for a mini, some people run 7" Superlights... :S
  24. My mini insurance is going to be £400 on my dad's policy (with Tesco) I will have been driving for a year at the start of march and i'm 18. If i was to start my own policy it would be about £800 (Tesco again) but i'm off to uni in September so there's no point.
