It's good for trials yes, there were a few riders up there last year, but they have all quit or only ride demos now. There are a few of us just on the other side of Durham though.
-
make sure it's spotless, so everything doesn't carode. made that mistake before
p.s. its normal for the headlight to go out because all the power is being directed to the fan. if it was me id just take it off. also you should find that when you rev the engine it get brighter?

pads: 1 heatsink yellow 1 koxx brown
time used on current rim: 1 month
Grind: yes, deep
Rim: trialtech sl
Brake: 2005 maguraReview: best pads ive used
10/10 unbelievably good -
put magura slaves on, heard nothing good about them from anybody, even sponsored riders
-
It's a bit of a non-question. There isn't really much of a comparison between a Mono Mini and a Saint, stick the Saint on.
thankyou.
-
no, the rotor, 6, the adapter, 2, fixing the adapter, 2, the bar clamp, 1, taking the old maggie off, bar clamp,1, the slaves, 4.
i was asking because i have a saint as well and was wondering which, in your opionon, was better?
-
because cba, ive heard that mono mini's (it think thats the modle i and you have) aren't very powerfull
-
Do you mean how well does it work? It seems pretty good but I've only had one ride on it
well i know it works asthetically because i have the matching hubs, but wondered if it worked as good as any other top disc brake.
-
how does that front brake work? i have one spare and im debating whether to use it
-
bike looks nice, cut the forks down!!!
-
it should still be in warrenty? chester didn't get it that long ago
-
have the slaves moved out? might not have tightened them enough
-
are they familybiker's pads?
p.s. nice bike
-
the breath will be better on the back wheel.
-
Someone wouldn't even go on it because the lever blades were so far away from the bars haha.
was it chester corney?

What rim do you have Jack?
Sounds like you have the same problem as I did and I found that I had a really small dent in my rim causing it to not let the tyre seat properly at low pressure.
I have tried the tyre on another rim that isn't dented and it is fine. I am talking about a really really small dent too (In a trialtech sl rim).
I wish Conti used Wire bead :/
same rim, tt sl, but i bought the brand new and was like that since new. and was the same on my old rim which im certain wasnt dented

Don't work that well at -24°C.
do any hydro brakes?
and i don't think he'll be riding at that temp i think he mean he needs something with a fluid that doesn't freeze at -24 degrees

It's not grease that's the issue, the fact it's made out of plastic is the issue - using the brakes for trials with the TPA wound out basically forces it to cross thread and/or eat shit. You should be able to rag it around just using some mole grips or something similar. It is just plastic, so you just need to mash it around the threads enough to get the TPA pin to work its way out.
thanks for your help, its the reason i dont care if it break on removal because i have a spare metal one to insert.
p.s. thanks for your help
-
ive a magura hs33 lever with a plastic tpa. help on how to get it free?, the person before me obviously doesn't know what greese is.
dont care if have to break the tpa system just need it free.
thanks in advance.

I presume that this bike rides perfect, looked spot on when i saw Bingy boy riding it last month ( possibly two months ago I don't really know but was relatively recent)

at the end of the day most trials bikes are light as hell anyway, i ride a mod that weighs 12kilos, only been riding just over 2 years and people have been saying im keeping up with good riders anyway! proof you dont need the superlight stuff, make yourself stronger because the real pro's shouldnt blame thier equipment. also the "underdog" quality of keeping up on the slightly heavier + not as good bike makes you look better surely.... just typed this with 7 people around me and they all agree anyway...
not aimed at you, just saying it to everyone really
and yes, a mod that weighs more than an inspired.... im 15 for goodness sake stop worrying about weight so much everyone
but would you not agree if you suddenly go from a 12 kg bike to a 7kg bike you'd be able to go bigger? if it means going from 4th to 3rd place in the world would you rather have a light bike?

How do pedals "f**k up"?
the axel doesnt spin, it cant get it to turn. so much so that when its tightened into the crank it unsrews rather than spins. tarty say they will have a look so im willing to sent it back.
also just pumped up to 80 psi rode around for a bit and ddidnt work let tyre down and is the same.
-
tarty say they will take it back and im sending my tt sl pedles back as well because they seem to f**k up as well. ill try to pump it up again. the enlarged point is in the same place as on my old rim as well which i had the same problem with.
Beware anyone still using deathtrap 2011/2012 Echo SL forks

Yeah I had the thinner 2011 ones and as I said before, I was still a beginer when I snapped them, never had they been hooked. Not t-front move whatsoever ever and I dropped t-two then they snapped after les than 6 months
