1. Hi guys, OK I'm doing a website for a mate. All setup with Wordpress. Only problem I'm having is that the text isn't being formatted properly by the editor. Usually the text is nice and rounded when you're typing but the font is nasty... which gives me a clue that something isn't right with the editor. It doesn't separate line spaces properly (no

tags etc) and photos aren't being displayed? Really have no idea what's going on. Can anybody suggest any files that might be misbehaving? I've contact Simon but he's busy tonite by the looks of things lol, so any help would be much appreciated! Danny? Anybody else lol

    Jonny.

  2. Thanks for all the great comments people :) It was a brilliant day and yes John's speech was amazing! Apparently it had been raining everyday that week, the ride day came along and it was lovely, if a little cloudy lol, so Gav was definitely looking down on us!

the vid was beautiful and amazing

do you have a new camera, those opening shots were just :o

Thanks mate, yeah I've got a Canon 7D DSLR now which shoots epic HD video. Very much like Rowan's 550D. Massive wave in the industry for over a year now, people using DSLRs to shoot stuff rather than conventional cameras! However I did spend about a day grading the footage to try and make it look as stunning as possible :)

  3. Here's a video I've put together of Gavin's memorial ride that happened in Porthcawl on the 2nd October. Apparently 60+ people turned up and there was lots of great riding!

The video features a touching speech by John Shrewsbury and an opening sequence that showcases the rocks that Gavin used for training as well as a playground!

From a technical point of view, please excuse the odd bit of flickering in the video, I shot everything on my new Canon 7D and I'm using the 18-200mm lens which is variable aperture, so the light changes every time I zoom!

Anyway, enjoy the video! Its 9 minutes long so make sure you're sitting comfortably lol!

    R.I.P. Gav XX

  4. Dude, SO good to see a video from you :D Nothing what-so-ever sketchy about any of that riding, pure Ben :) Looking forward to seeing lots more from you, especially if you're getting a new camera :D Good times!

  5. I have no words...

Anyways - the new Inspired range is absolutely amazing. I've been waiting for this to leak for a while now, and I'm glad it has so people can see how awesome they are.

I think it has a seat because its THE thing to do, although its fair enough not everybody will agree :)

Looks epic! Well done to Dave, Ali, Danny, John and everybody else involved! Love the rear dropouts, super tidy! :D

  6. New Trials website/blog launched today - http://www.farnham-trials.co.uk - mainly setup for the local riders around the Farnham/Aldershot/Farnborough/Woking areas etc, but its also designed to hopefully meet new riders we've not ridden with before! Anybody is welcome to follow the blog as well as our tweets - @farnhamtrials - as well as pop down for a session. We'll be tweeting if we're heading out anywhere.

Simon will hate it  , because its a Tumblr blog with an inferior template, but its like this so that any of the riders can update it with photos or iPhone video etc - amazingly simple back-end.

In a way its kind of reminiscent of all the trials websites riders used to run back in the day, showcasing their local scene and riding spots!

    Hope you like it!

    Jonny :)

  7. I have no idea why, but if you wind the barrel adjuster right out on your lever when you set it up, it feels much better!

Read that on here ages ago, and tried it on mine and it made a noticeabe difference.

Also, make sure the rotor is just brushing the inner pad, and when you pull the lever the other one moves over to 'clamp' it. The amount of disc brakes i've seen set-up where the outer pod has to push the rotor over to brake... nasty way of doing it!

Edit: My front set-up is a 203mm rotor (overkill!) normal cable, and a Shimano XTR lever. It's hardly spongey at all!

Cheers mate :) I'll have a fiddle, with the brake, that is :P

  8. Cheers lads! I've ridden on it for about 20mins, I know they need to bed in, but was just curious. I'll leave the linear cable for the time being and see how it goes, I have good expectations for this brake lol
