  1. At the moment there is a mystery no name freewheel on my cranks and its crap, only 20 points of engagement. Im not onto pedal kicks yet just getting up obstacles and trying to learn the wheelie drop off. When i try and put in a hard pedal stroke it feels kind of distant, almost as if it makes little difference.

Is this down to the freewheel or just my lack of talent?

    cheers

  2. But dont onza's frames break really easily! D:

Mate, just like me you are a beginner. You won't be doing 5 foot drop offs and fancy danny mcaskill tricks for a long long time. You're not going to brake it.

Even the basics are very difficult to get a grasp of so frankly it doesn't matter what you start with, anything trials orientated will be a bonus.

I made my bike out of seccond hand bits from ebay and here and cost around £80. Its a bit pants but it doesn't matter because i can't use it to its full potental anyway.

  3. Yeah that is a well old t pro. Probably not the best rising thing by a long way but if you get to an alright level on that, like sidehops bigger than your wheels and gap around 5/6 foot then youll be mad on a decent bike. Just try avoid riding a nice bike or you'll realise how dated your geo is and hate your bike :P haha

Is it just the hight of the top tube that makes it a bit rubbish or are there other reasons that make the geo dated?

I think it will serve me fine for a while, side hops and gaps are a long way off! Im still working on track stands and pivots at the moment. Is it strange that i find it easier to track stand on a mountain bike?

  4. This is my first trials bike, think it is original exept for the brakes and cranks (didn't come with the bike). Probably not the best but it was dirt cheep:)

It feels very odd but i guess this is normal? Im used to riding mountain bikes.
