  1. hi, im 15 and i live near crawley so not too far from east grinstead, im 16 and pretty new to trials, do you know any people near me who ride or any groups as i dont know any other people who ride trials yet, any help would be great

So are you 15 or 16???

There are a few of us in sussex but we are few and far between.

Im not sure about East Grinstead but don't be put down if robbie doesn't reply as this thread is 2 years old!

  2. Im trying to learn to manual too. I can do it a little bit on my mountain bike but not at all on the mod. I can't for the life of me lift the front wheel without a pedal.

Does the technique change with the different geometrys? I know Flip does it all the time on his, or should i just accept that i'm never going to have his skills :'(

  3. I had the same problem with my GU Le, i guess it was similar age. I also had tryall hubs. i never checked if the rim was dished but i had problems setting up brakes as the magura mounts wouldn't move out far enough on one side. I made do with an extra spacer on one side and a thinner spacer on the other.

  4. When rolling up a step (like this http://www.trashzen.com/rolling-up-a-kerb.php) i find it easiest to lift the front wheel with my good foot then back pedal before unweighting the back wheel. It works ok but on higher objects sometimes i struggle to clear the back wheel.

I can do the way suggested on trashzen but lifting the front with my lazy foot always feels clumsy and i have less success.

    What is best?

    cheers

  5. I can't beleive your DMRs won't grip, especially with five tens. More pressure on the pedals will keep your feet in place. While trying to lift the bike point your toes down and push back (Y)

    hope this helps.

  6. Im from Herstmonceux and there is nothing :( I tried hailsham once but i didn't have much luck. I sometimes ride with Aldred_85 on bexhill seafront.

My favorite riding spots are Newhaven fort and tidemills which is just down the road from it.

Im not too keen on riding in overly public places as i don't enjoy the funny looks and odd questions lol

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers
