Yeah - Thats right; kinda jab your handle bars down in the direction you wanna turn as you hop. It works cos your body moves to adjust for the imbalance of moving the bars which twists you round.

I watched some programme about advertising, and advertisement companies have found out that the best way of selling a product via television is to sell it to women, as women watch a hell of a lot more tv than men (i.e. throughout the day), so you will notice most adverts will involve a women making a fool of or having power over a man. And it works.
The other annoying adverts are the makeup adverts... does anyone actually believe the stuff they come out with? "Increases eye lash length by up to 50%!!!"

Pointless? Its a holocaust memorial.
A different block for every person.This is also about a year and a half old. The guy that designed it was questioned about skateboarders, and he replied something like "i designed it to be appreciated, it any form". Basically, not off limits.
And the blocks go up to over 6ft high, and i doubt you'd get bored as quickly as you might think.

tip : never buy anything from apple - they are a bunch of bounders and cheats. over rated and overpriced.....

At the moment Ive got a samsung 2GB flash jobbie - which was about 80 quid - its pretty mega. ditch the headphones for some sennheisers and you are sorted.
Im sure there is more out there now though so just take a good look round. stay away from companies like apple and sony.... as they use dire software and have music protection bollox which is sheite.
although that being said - if you want battery life and pretty good sound get a sony flash player (although the down points are really appauling software and super slow transfer...)- 80 quid gets you 1gb and about a week of continuous play - or at least did a while ago...
I've got the 1gb sony bean and I have never had any problems with the software... it puts the music onto the bean in about a minute, and thats a gigs worth, plus it can hold more music with the super compressed atrac3 plus format, yet still sounds great with standard headphones. its been very user friendly and easily understandable.
Ive got about 50 hours of music on mine, which is coincidentaly how long the battery lasts too, and its also as light as a mouses fart, and cheapish too, so its a good buy i'd say.

I guess I'm partially different to you then. If some little chav kids come up and demand I do tricks for them or whatever, depending on who they are I might get a bit arsey with them, but generally, with older people I tend to just let it all lie basically.
You get a much better effect if you use fancy words... the little ring leader ends up eating his own words and looking a fool and you havent moved from the spot or raised your voice. Its the ultimate power, and really leaves them feeling small and pathetic, but in such a way that they dont understand and cant explain it so they are too confused to try and hit you. It really, really works.

I don't believe in the "eye for an eye" method. With young people who start on you for no reason, it's not worth dropping to their level. Just be achingly polite with a hint of patronisation, and they'll get confused and tie themselves and knots with their words, then leave you alone.
To older people, be very polite and act shocked about having been spoken to in such a rude manner, as if you expected better from a grown up. And say so too.

I have sort of a story outline written out, I'm not sure if I want to post it up just yet though! I'd like to think where the story goes is pretty original and is definately not a "and then he woke up" kind of affair.
Cheers for your comments, it seems that the sudden rush of confusion I was aiming for to start off with is actual not very fast paced at all...
The idea that I'm looking at doesnt see the main character revisting what happened then for quite a while, but when he does he has a bit more involvment in that he might have previouly thought...
The idea with the earthquakes is that the start and stop very suddenly. once he gets into the car, they have stopped completely. the story goes on later to reveal that the earthquakes arent any sort of natural occurance, so its all to add to the intitial confusion.

Good idea with the music... thats exactly what I do!
I wanted quite a descriptive introductory peice, i was trying to quite a fast pace to start off with, then in chapter three it become very light hearted, alan dismissises his "dream" and life for him is brilliant. But things get rather dark from then on as things come back to haunt him and more people are discovered to have these weird "dreams" they form a conspiricy thing about and so on and so forth. dont wanna give too much away cos your all theives

great storys (dont know if they get linked later or something
)'woke with a start' used twice in chapter one also i cant remember exactly hwo many times but im sure shear or sheared was used more than once in chapter one.
apart from that i dont see anything wrong with them they are both great storys.
right come on guys ive bothered to read it all and my reply is shite so could someone who knows what they are talking about help andy here.
They do get linked later, yeah... it all gets kinda brain meltingly confusing soon
