  1. and you build houses out of bricks and mortar, aint likely to see a concrete koxx any time soon though are we?

    f**king 'tard

'Cept the houses built out of I-beams, which tend to be the big ones that need to be stronger ;)

  2. The Pianist was brilliant, thought it would be crap but it was amazingly good. Watch it people...

The Matrix is my most favourite film ever... love it.

Donnie Darko for its sheer arsty-fartsy-ness

Loved Cube and I now love JT for informing me there is a third one... :P

Alien is another amazingly good film and for its age still seems fresh today

Saw a film called Cypher that had a really good start and idea but rambled on a bit.

Lord of the Rings 1,2 and 3 rock

Collateral was a blinding film... definately a keeper

Can't think of any more cos I'm hungry

  3. rattle rattle

It was just an example... I don't know and you don't know how it will perform, my point is that I'm sure the guys at Onza will have put some thought into it... like someone said, the company is in it to make money so surely something expensive to make will be tested so it actually works, otherwise the company wont make any money at all...

  4. I just thought... all you moaners out there are saying parts are similar or stupid without putting any real thought into it - The whole seat tube area is very dissimilar to the Zoos. Yes it may have gussets, but the actual structure is massively different... the top tube doesnt bend into the seat tube like the Zoo, it stays straight and has the vertical "extra bb shell" which is completely different, and may stiffen the back end and brake area really well. The headtube cnc peice may look thin and weak from the side, but the force wont be coming from the side, it will be coming from underneath. And the shape of it could be such that it is exceptionally stiff in that direction. The two welds may dissipate the stress so each weld takes half the force that just one would take. So think about it before slagging it off...

"Horseless carriage...!? It'll never catch on..."

P.S I'm more than willing to test the headtube cnc area myself if any of you lovely people at onza would like me too... :):P No seriously

  5. I love the way that no matter what the topic is, Waynio writes an essay which always ends up with "The new Koxx frame that I've got this week is worth every penny of the £700 it cost..." :P

I think it looks nice... the colour doesn't do it any favours, but there seems to be an awful lot of opinion floating around about it already... and to be honest thats all it is... opinon.

Your all the kind of people who still wouldn't buy a Skoda despite the fact they are now brilliant cars... we seem to forget Zoo's stodgy first frames as well, noone gives them any grief about their history?

The headtube thingy doesnt look like it will rip off, it seems to have plenty of weld space on both sides, although it does seem a bit ott. But lets not kid ourselves, anyone who says on this forum that they think its silly cos they dont buy a trials specific frame cos it looks different, I'd say 75% are telling porkies.

    Yeah

  6. I've got the Zoo! cnc cranks and I have never had any problems with them. If your worried about pedal threads stripping, keep your pedals tight. You haven't had any problems i presume with the threads on the RS7's so there no reason for you to have problems with the Echo cnc's. They do look nice and they are plenty stiff.

On the other hand, the tensiles have a pretty good reputation too, so I'd just go for the cheaper of the two!

  7. its actually heavyer

i dont like the CNC bits apart from they look good,

Depends how its done... whether the idea behind using the cnc is strength or weight reduction...

But anyway, I don't see why everyone is raving about it... maybe becasue the CLS groupies have been let loose again... :shifty:

But anyway, it is after all, only my opinion

  8. Forgive me if I'm wrong, and I know how a frame rides is all about geometry, but that frame looks pretty dated compared to the lighter, stiffer cnc'd parts of today... Maybe its just me, it just kinda reminds me of some of the old zzoos before the pitbull except witha lower standover...

Any one else get what I mean? :ermm:

  9. For me, an enjoyable, successful ride is one where you and a friend make sections up and encourage each other. You get up onto a rock, and your mate tells you to gap to the next rock, then climb up the next etc... then do it brakeless, without correction hops, whatever, but making interesting lines, even if the ups and gaps arent particulary big. Not getting up a rock, then getting up the next rock thats a bit bigger, all in seperate chunks. Thats not what trials is about! Sections rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Im not being funny, but perhaps some riders find that fun? Im not saying i do, because at the minute im trying the dark sde of riding, and finding it so much fun. :D

Cant do it propely thou..damn 120mm stem on a t-rex :P ahh well, still bunny hop it :)

I mean like that people are taking trials too seriosuly and are only interested in results, rather than the actual fun in riding. I know what I mean, even if noone else does :);)

  11. Danny, you know what this means don't you...

    ...you're getting old! :P

"It's not like it was in my day!" :P

But seriously, I think the growing popularity of trials has introduced more formality to the sport, it's not about having fun anymore. Its about who can go the biggest.

  12. Ive has a brilliant idea!

Rather than 'mod' your corsa or saxo, and cruise round town getting laughed at by people with sens, just take a few grand out the bank in five pound notes and see how fast you can burn them, onw note at a time.

It'll probably be more rewarding, less expensive, and a whole lot less rediculous.

  13. That's 'cause the idiot weighed it down with a tonne of stuff, then thought a V6 lump would compensate. Er, reality check, far from it, 18 inch chrome wheels to put 200 bhp down? Think not. The chassis was also not designed for that sort of power, nor is front wheel drive.

But yeh, going a bit wide of the topic here.

Ah... good times! I don't get why people don't buy a proper car, or if they really like modding, get a Caterham and mod that instead... someting that will actually go...

I wish now that I had just stuck to a cheap, reliable japanese car till i was 23... i would save soooo much money!

  14. Didn't you know that a PS2 makes your car go faster? <_<

In all seriousness, buy a Yaris, it'll never go wrong, cheap to insure, and will last forever. Keep it till your 23, then think of all those thousands of pounds youve saved on insurance and bodykit and breakdown repair that you can then spend on a proper car, like a second hand elise or summat.

Ha... did anyone see the Top Gear where the old guys with their bare bones racer raced the modded 306? The 306 didn't just get beaten it got whooped! Was brilliant! Stupid bits of plastic that do arse all....

  15. heres another one:

If you tied two cats too each other (back to back) and then dropped them off a 6ft drop, how would they land. Presume that both cats are the same age and dont have athritis or any other illness

They would land with a thud I would imagine
