I saw this on Paypal earlier but what's driving the dip? Normal markets seem to be following the same trend but I don't really get why...

Federal Reserve is in talks about interest rates. How true that is who knows but BTC tends to sort of follow the trade markets and then other cryptos follow BTC. Bitcoin prices fall to lowest in months after US Fed remarks https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-59907864

Did you have any vaccine previously? No judgement at all just curious.

My delta infection back in November was stabby eyeball pain, aching hips, sinus pain for a day and no fever. Lost some taste for about 3 days or so. The vaccines may have anulled some of the symptoms, personally I don't see the need for more now.

The worst bit for me was aching hips as it stopped me sleeping properly!

Me? I’m not vaccinated for covid. I’ve had others when I was younger but I can’t have the covid ones

  3. Recovered now. Wow that was an experience. I peaked at 38.9c and was like that for a whole day. Was strange having food and drink with no smell and taste. Was it just me or did anyone have the shits really bad as result? Like proper weight loss from it!! Today we should have broke isolation. So the wife tested the kids. Yep you guessed it. They are both positive. Back in for ten more days.

I don't have instagram but the few I can see look already amazing!

Would like to see you whole collection for sure.

Do you have an Exploziv Zon'up? A Sunn Xircuit Maxx Trial?

Sadly I don’t have them. A Sunn would be an ideal item to add. you should be able to view it all without needing to have an account/profile.

  5. Most I’m guessing will have seen this page on Instagram already but if not here you go:

I’ve collected, purchased, acquired a range of retro trials frames. I am still looking to add more as compared to others collection some I don’t have.

Mixed plans on restoring them. It’s difficult to to do the right thing give them the correct justice.

Do plan to try and do a build on each and document that. Most likely a transfer of kit build to build as can’t build them all.

Anyway let me know what you think and if you know of something fitting that’s going defo tell me.

I use the ubiquiti stuff in my house and have installed it for countless number of customers, it's a good bit of kit for the price especially the controller software not being subscription based, although I'm not 100% taken on the quality of the hardware I've had 2 of the unifi Poe switches fail on me just outside of warranty (Poe issues) not great when your trying to work from home and the AP's are constantly losing power.

Currently using some of the edgemax stuff for switching and routing, which seems to be alot more reliable and more suited to more advance configuration.

I agree the quality of the hardware is an issue. I’ve had switched and a cloud key go on me. I use a Raspberry Pi for my controller.

  7. Any one here running Ubiquity kit? I have the following but we’re about to move and will need to add some additional AP’s and switches. Thankfully it’s a new build so I’ve been able to go in and run 25mm conduit, all joins have been glued so it won’t come apart. I’ve also ran pulling twine using Kevlar twine so super strong. My wife one end stuffs it in the tube, there is a bit of cloth tied to the twine to seal the tube. Other end I have Henry. Sucks it down the length instantly. I can then go back and do a 2nd fix terminating it all. Need to add 3 more AP’s internally maybe 4 and 2 more externally. The externals have also had the conduit run done, plus some external lighting so all worked out well.

  8. I managed to grab a set of HS33 Quicksilvers cheap today. They do need a fair bit of work. Here is the listing, I did warn they are needing TLC https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184372021567

Does anyone knows the RAL colour of them originally?

Plan is to strip, gut, clean them, ditch the hose and fittings (replace them with new). Ideally respray them, anyone got any tips on the slaves and the piston. Best way to protect them, no option to remove I believe.

Would be nice to have have them stamped saying Magura etc but a decal might be better.

    Cheers

Spotted this post the other day so sorry to dig up and old topic. I have the above frame. It’s done the rounds a lot.

James (Student) had it, Dave the rocket, Leon also rode it for a while, then Luke (Toby) and finally my self. It was nicknamed the coke can due to the dent on the bottom side of the downtube. If I recall if you used the left foot forward it would sound like a coke can. It’s been in the top of the garage for a few years. Before the last respray it had the brake mounts removed so was disc only.

I quickly threw some bits on it to show it off. It’s now back on the garage roof.

Hope the photos are of use.

Would see it if anyone wanted to make an offer
