Had a f**king awesome 4 nights away in Prague old town with the same group of mates I went to Dublin with last year for one of their Birthdays.

I got back today from 3 nights there and I absolutely loved it. Such an awesome city.

    Thanks for the comments guys.

I've decided to take the plunge and go for the Hex.

Will let you know how I get on! Little bit excited!

Long time ago! What were you riding back then?

Me and a friend were both riding silver Ashtons I think, somewhere down on the seafront. You'd just got into trials I seem to remember, must've been about 2003.

  3. I think the way that he pushes the bike right to the take-off point and then pushes it away at the end really illustrates how that style of trials seems to have dissolved into just these single moves.

  4. Hi Seb, we rode together once or twice in Brighton, years back! I think you'd find the Hex very fun to ride, particularly if you've been riding the P1. I have one (from around 2011) and it's great - I have a 90mm Hope stem, about half an inch of spacers and the Trialtech high rise bars.

Theres another guy Ryan Taylor who's a BMX rider, he has to be one of the worst clickbait YouTubers ever.  "ARRESTED for riding my BMX in  a shopping mall". Theres honestly like 15 seconds of footage of him being "arrested" in a 20 minute video.

All capitals, clickbait titles and now all these stupid emojis... I suppose once one or two start doing it, the rest just copy.

It's interesting how things have turned out. I was wondering who the hell even buys Mafia BMX bikes until I started seeing loads of little park rats with them. In the old days BMX media was pretty much the magazines and VHS cassettes. I think that kept the scene cohesive in a way. Now people like Harry Main, Taylor, Adam LZ etc can make a perfectly good living outside of the 'scene'. In some ways you might argue this is good, but at the same time everything seems a little cheapened somehow.

PS for those who don't like Ryan Taylor...

The YT "Dirt Love" looks good, but they've sold out and I'm yet to hear of them releasing a new version. Likewise the Canyon Stiched 180 and 360 models.

You're not wrong there! You can also get "Lane Assist", which keeps you in between the white lines - either by warning you when you get close to the edge, or by physically steering you back into the centre of the lane. As you say though, it is turning drivers into zombies!

Just seems odd that this comes along at a time when people seem - in general - more distracted than ever. I say this because I'm primarily a motorcyclist and drivers' lack of attention is my biggest concern when riding on the road.

I've had cars with regular cruise control and used it, although it's frustrating when the car in front is a fraction slower and you have to keep adjusting (or just overtake), so I can see how this evolved. I guess this is all just part of the journey towards self-driving vehicles...

  8. Doesn't ACC discourage people from paying attention? Middle lane on the motorway in particular is bad enough as it is, and looking at some of the drivers there you'd think they were asleep if only their eyes weren't half-open.

The angry Hully Gully Facebook post about some seatless bikes riding on some shit red bricks has been some entertaining reading.

    Link here for those interested:

I do feel sorry for people that get deeply involved in comment matches like this though. I think troll posts are a better option.

Cheers. Yours looks a bit more mental than mine lol! I think the rear end would look good chopped too.

Is that an RSV 1000? Looks awesome. I was looking at potentially buying one of them as a track/road bike. How does it compare to the GSX-R?

If only if it was as simple as that.

From the article: "he described how he twice warned Mrs Briggs to get out of the way"

So presumably despite having time to twice warn her, he didn't slow down. Loads of the fixie riders in Berlin are like that - you notice you've stepped in their way and jump out the way quick, but despite seeing you they rarely slow as if intent on making some kind of point.

"The court heard Alliston was depressed" - find me an under 20 year old who isn't...

Not sure what to do, company that rebuilt the steering box have happily offered to repair under warranty, which would get it on the road again without too much hassle. Downside is I might not be so fortunate and in such a good position if it fails again. Also means I can use this time to do more research on steering and gather parts ready for a winter rebuild.

How did it fail, or don't you know yet?

  13. Pedals are about the only thing I'd keep.

However to be fair these bikes don't really look much less ridiculous than any other modern trials trials bike. The little Eiffel tower for the seat is novel though...

So now I'm stuck, I own the domain I want but I can't get access or even contact the company to shout at anyone! So frustrating!

That does suck. Some companies are better than others. I buy from http://lcn.biz and have found their customer service to be very good.

You might like to do a WHOIS lookup and ensure you still have it. Although to me it sounds like godaddy just have a rubbish customer portal.
