  1. Go to a large bike or skatebored shop if you can and try on some diffrent ones, just see which ones fit best. The other thing is, once you have got it, wear it!! I know it sounds stupid but so many people have a helmet but hardly ever wear it. I do it myself, I find they get hot and sweaty and not v comfy. But I do wear it when trying something new or big and scary for my level of riding. Also by wear safety gear gives a good example to the younger people taking up the sport and silly people that moan loads. H

  5. It happens, there is a hell of a lot of force on such a small bit of metal. If you can't get the other bit out of the the Frame/Forks then you may have to drill it out. It;s nothing major, if you don't know how find a mate that does or any good bike shop should be able to handle the job. Good luck. H
  6. Oh thats no fair :P I may have been late but I did some of my best riding that day. I may go out drinking but no where near that much though. I felt so ill. Its all good. Catch you there, bring along some others too. H
  7. Meet at The Guildhall Square @ 11.30 Those training it gett off @ Portsmouth and southsea station Right, heres the story, my mate sean, some of you may know him, he rides a black revell frame and goes to Portsmouth uni. Hes bummed cos he missed our ride last week and were all a bit poor as we all are at some point so cant do the London ride. So what i'm doing is getting as many riders who cant make the London ride to come down to ride portsmouth to help cheer up one of my best friends. Only positive posts in here please. This one's for you sean!! H
  8. Yeah trying to sort out some riders from the IOW, Portsmouth Uni and Fareham. Hopefully should make. Yeah its 9/11 but its the USA not UK you bunch of tarts. It's a sunday so hardly anyone is at work there for no one to blow up. Yeah loads of cops will be about but there gonna be looking for suiscide bombers not suiscide bikers!! And on top of that, you can't be scared of all that terror rubish, you can't show em your scared, it means they've one. And stop bumping the post !! H
  9. Err Scales?? Bathroom scales are good if you have digital ones. It's a stock and weighs in at 24 pounds. H
  10. I get it some times, I get really pissed off that I can't quite make the trick. But I usually swear, drop the bike. Catch my breath and try again. It become my signature that I don't walk away for a thing im so close to getting. I hate leaving a unfinished trick. Cos all that trying makes it so worth while. Tell him to take a breather and put the effort into the trick not his attidue. H
  11. The headset is in 2 halves basically. At the top of the head tube(the bit of your frame the forks go through) and at the bottom. It looks like 2-3 thin rings. Inside the middleone of each half is some bearings which help the forks tube spin round inside the head tube. Then the star washer or nut slides in side with a bolt on the top of your stem is tightened to stop your forks falling out the bottom of the frame wheel lift the front wheel off the ground. Have a look, type it in to google. H
  12. If your looking for cheap crap, then halfords will never let you down. But cheap tools will only snap. You get what you pay as they say, you pay for crud, thats what you get. Get some good ones, Park Tool are pretty good. H
  13. Work (Y) Well got a few coming. Bring any others, all welcome. H
  14. Just checked the weather on tv and the net, both say it should be hot (23'C) and maybe some clouds. It's gonna be a nice day. Don't forget the sun tan oil. (Y) See you around 11. H
  15. Yeah your right, zip ties are one of the most usefull tools ever. I have holding the booster on my front magura otherwise the thing pops off if I brake too hard. I know i should bolt it but its a quick fix. Zip tie the grips, deluxe lock ons lol The other great tool is black electrical tape. I used it to hold my rear mech together. Well whatever keeps you riding is all good. H
  16. Hmmn, does seem a little suspect!! (Y) H
  17. Yeah argos are really good, it's a company in or near bristol. H
  18. What quick fixes have you done which are not really a good idea but have helped your bike get through the day? A biro pen spring instead of a hope spring!! H
  19. Not a good idea for a long term fix, but short term fix. I know a guy who used a biro pen spring when one of his broke, he's had it in there for ages now. HAHA  H
  20. Hey man, Its ment to rain tommorow, but theres another ride there on Monday? H
