  7. Was just thinking as im trying to learn sidehops it would be really usefull to have tutorial videos, preferably in slow motion, to allow less experienced riders to learn the best techniques. What do you think then Ben (N)

  11. Whats wrong with a glowing red stem?
  12. My tank of a zebdi, with teeny little cranks!
  13. tar can also lock your pads to your rim and if your on the edge of a drop it really means your buggered! as I found when I first began and faceplanted off 3ft and took the skin off one side of my chin. (tar is the stuff they put on roads to bind all the gravel together) hence TARmacadam. (correct me if im wrong) Ben
  14. Hope xc's are generally the way to go as they are the tried and tested hub.you could also try the new midleburn hub? as for a wide rim the best choices are the planet x bmf (and all other identical rims :- ) and the new koxx rim. Ben
  15. Make sure your pads are definately hitting the rim all at once, my front brake (sticky pads :"> on a 521cd) was absolute pants until I took it apart, regreased all neccesary parts and spent some time setting it up properly. if that fails run a bit of tar
  16. I just bought a 2.1 hot S!! already noticed a massive improvement in grip over my old raleigh tyre :">
  17. There doesnt seem to be an faq about tyres so I thought this would be useful. :- So far I have found my comp24 to be very grippy on the rear :D and as its a dh tyre its ideal for street, but sadly :D im using an old raleigh front tyre (about 1.95) which has less grip than oiled teflon so for any front wheel moves its cr*p. What front and rear tyres have you found to be good? also are panaracer fire xc 2.1's grippy? Cheers, Ben
  18. i suppose but changing from an xc/521 combo to a mono/x519 would save a bit surely?? how heavy are hot S's neways?
  19. What front rims have people found to be strong and light?i know theres a lot of smooth riders out there and i am undoubtably not one of them, im finding my 521cd on an xc to be strong but sadly not too light so what do you use or reccomend for weight, smoothness etc i guess the simplest way to do this will be Rim - strengths - weaknesses - weight - price anyway hope this helps
  20. 12 stone = (rear obviously) comp 24 on bmf with nokian dh tube = 45 psi crap front tyre 35psi on 521 standard tube
