I agree! My dream set-up would be something that can be bunny-hopped if needed, but still do vertical hanging hooks and not be fatiguing on rear. Not sure it exists, unless I train like mad.

Hey James,
I saw your video and I am really sorry for your gears.😞
THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the effort you put in your videos! I think I am not the only one that get really motivated from your videos and I guess it will be fair if you get something back from the community too.
Is there a way to help you somehow? A PayPal account or so?
Let me know (PM if you prefer)
PS: with each video your riding improves on this bike. Did you consider to compete at the national level?
Hey La Bourde! Thanks for the kind comments, and I have everything sorted now, but thanks for the offered support!
I used to compete at world cups, and I would like to start competing again! Next year maybe. The issue is that the closest competition is still a plane ride away. I might be moving though...

PS: I never heard of this band, but it makes directly to my playing list.
I found them from Joacim Lundgrens Instagram. Heavy as a prehistoric lizard. Skraeckoedlan is a wicked name too.
I got out to Calabogie for a day. This place is the best, minus the 2 hour drive and the bugs...

I ride g-form stuff because they are small enough to wear discreetly under pants and they are the most flexible pad I've found. Not the best protection though for mega-hits. Great for trials too, just enough padding to stop the shin digs.

@La Bourde Yes! I'm doing the C1 in Bentonville to start.

Silly and beautiful and pointless.

@La BourdeThanks! I chose the Clean based on availability. If both were available I probably would have chosen the small crewkerz. It's has a proven reputation.

I'm part of the trials club again? Maybe? Short shorts and leggings are coming...

Watching the footage, it looks like I was finally riding well on the new-school bike. It had to be returned to the owner, but hopefully I'll have a new bike of my own soon (stuck at customs)... Also, I need to move to BC permanently. It's too good out there.

Slowly coming back.

108 engagements, less drag, most standards available.
Could be the next big thing for trials riders! My I9 hydra has been faultless, but this could be a competitive option.

Digging that front wheel back wheel tap, James! Looks like you’re getting The hang of the bike now. Did tilting the bars back help a lot?
Thanks! Yeah, tilting the bars back made a huge difference. Easier to lift the front, and no stem to nuts contact on taps. Taps feel so good now!

I have the drive to ride pure trials again. I've ordered a bike for myself (the one in the video is a friends) and I'm excited to do some inch hunting!

Sometimes a quick push in the reverse direction frees up some bubbles.
Just did a couple hs33/racing line brakes like this. Tons of extra bubbles came out when I reversed. I started doing this last year with disk brakes that use double syringe bleed kits too.

Everything looks sick except for potential ankle digging on the new XO crank. I ride with my feet hugging the crank sometimes.

I'm a noob again
Went out on it again yesterday and I felt like I was closer to reaching full potential. So cool hopping on a real modern trials bike. Gaps like crazy. Sidehops are sick. Ups to front and hooks are great. Taps, not so much.

Loved it.
