  1. Heya, Here's a vid we made mid summer, we had a camera man follow us on one of our busier days... 2 schools during the day, a quick street ride then an evening youth club demo before hitting the road for a weekend of shows... Link Its nothing special but thought I would post it as it hasn't been aired anywhere else... cheers, Drummond
  2. Peeps, We've been pretty busy at 3SIXTY through 2010... and 2011 looks to be even busier so we've taken on more riders and demo equipment... New riders James Hyland, Alec Wray and Kieren Whitefield ensure all 3SIXTY demos are displaying top elite talent..... and our next videos should be epic! Check us out at www.3sixty.me.uk Comments welcome... Drummond
  3. Ha, I think he had every right to turn down the autograph hunter who pounced as soon as he finished the last section...
  4. Thats the most entertaining mod vid I've seen in a long time! and to blunt fakey a vert wall from a track stand is pretty impressive! makes me wanna ride, which makes it a great vid in my book drum
  5. Peeps! Thanks for all the kind words, I really expected everyone to have a go about the chipped fish eye! Pat! When you over then?!?! I thought you were dead, you never call, write, send flowers anymore?!?!?!? Cheers chops, you need to get you calendar sorted and cameo in the next vid, street ride newcastle soon, new fisheye lense too... Back up north now mate, near durham... I fell pretty ill in cornwall moved home to be with family... all good now... hows you?!?!? Drummond
  6. YouTube Link Heya, Here's a little vid we made a while back, I didnt post it because its my first attempt at editing and theres a chip on the lense which is annoying... still there's some decent riding so I thought I'd drop it here for comment... Drummond
  7. Sounds like a winner Mat, let me know if I can do anything to help.... When I was running my stunt show I sold stall space and catering plots to cover venue rental and insurance, then I did a deal to pay for equipment hire and billing with a percentage of the gate income. This approach allowed us to do 45 shows with hardly any start up capital, I reckon its totally doable without putting yourself out of pocket... Hope you're well, I miss you so much it hurts Drummond
  8. Yeah, bouldering is perfect for powerfull strength to weight ratio, try doing a regular climbing session and at the end do a few overhang routes without using your feet to really pump your upper body...... also set some dyno challenges (when you have to jump to holds) its a great way of building explosive power.... A quick note on the mental aspect of it all too..... Getting down the gym works for some but I find its usualy a short lived dedication simply because it can be a chore..... if you fill your training with activities you enjoy... riding, climbing, parkour etc then you're just out there having fun, its habitual and progrssion in riding strength is a happy biproduct Good luck dude Ian
  9. Hey joe, I would love to have the mag go straight into WH Smith, supermarkets, newsagents, etc. Hell I'd love to hand it out for free, mailing it to every house hold in the UK to attract new people to the sport.... if you have the resources and contacts lets talk...? Otherwise it will have to start small and grow with time.... A trials publication can support the industry in many ways, offering affortable advertising for a target audience, coverage of riders looking to promote / attract sponsorship is another, features for mods riders and proper comp coverage are also missing from the current mags....... Cheers, Ian
  10. You're all in real danger of ending up with a magazine named tuck! Any suggestions? Ian
  11. Hellooooo, Thanks for all the suggestions and interest, much obliged. With regards to the mag; Name change; I admit I didn't put a huge amount of thought into the name but as I was brain storming I simply thought Trials UK = TUK = Tuck and the 'tuck' is synonymous with trials. I'm open to change so please feel free to offer suggestions, what do we think of BTUK? (cheers Christophe') I don't intend for this mag to compete with websites as far as up to date news coverage goes, its simply impossible! As I said in my original post this is a platform to support riders, sponsors, companies and events. But we will still be dedicating pages to our readers too, this 'package' will be achieved through; Rider profiles and interviews Coverage of competitions and events Company focus; a behind the scenes look at the business' that make up the UK trials industry Riding spot reviews (this will also feature the local riders) A readers section; covering letters, 'funnies', best injuries, etc A photo gallery for readers pics A 'how to' section covering beginner, intermediate and advanced techniques There will be product reviews and bike tests (they wont be contrived) All genres of bike trials will be covered (20”,24”,26”,street and comp) I'm currently working on some nice long features that will spread over several issues, including a guide to sponsorship and various training pieces...Many more ideas to materialise! With regards to the other issues raised; I do believe there is life left in the printed publication, I understand the benefits of pdf publishing and I will look at that route if the later stages of launching this mag prove troublesome for whatever reason. I may be pushing it by indicating an August issue, fair comment. Let me explain my reasoning though, I've been designing promotional material for print for as long as I've been a pro rider (5 years) I have been reporting on events and products for just as long, so I do have some relevant experience to bring to this venture. Plus I have embarked on much bigger ventures within as short a timescale before. I've never embarked on any project without a sound business plan which I have spent the last 2 weeks working on full time before starting this topic, I am comfortable with the figures and am not to emotionally involved. Thank you all, please keep it coming (name suggestions?!?!?) Ian
  12. Hi guys, I've been wanting to put a trials mag out ever since BTM disappeared and after some changes in personal circumstance and finding some pretty nifty cash flow solutions I have come up with a business plan that would allow a sustainable publication. As we've seen in the past trials mags have come and gone, they are certainly not a money maker. I'm entering this project as I love trials and personally want to put together a platform that promotes the sport and the riders, sponsors, companies and events that make it great. Heres an out line of what we are planning; Tuck magazine will be a monthly publication solely dedicated to all areas of Bike trials A4 sized, we are currently looking at around 60 pages all in Solely distributed through our website Priced at £3 posted We are aiming to launch the mag in August We already have a good idea of what the features and other content will be, but you guys inevitably decide what you want to read so please post your ideas and comments so we can get a good solid foundation from issue one. To register for updates on the mag and show your support please simply send a blank email to the address below. Please only send one email so we can get a true estimate of interest. tawtteam@googlemail.com Looking forward to reading all your ideas and receiving lots of emails........Spread the word!!!! Cheers, Ian Drummond PS; We were going to call it TUK magazine, as in Trials UK, but there is already a mag out with that name, its a Dutch amature porn mag!!!!
  13. Hey Guys, Thank you all for the fantastic response we recieved from our ad... After carefull consideration of all aplicants we have indeed offered the position to Nick Manning, Nicks actually been in contact with MAD for a few years so with several of our candidates having the atributes we're looking for it seemed only fair to choose the rider with the longest ties to MAD... However dont be too disapointed - last year we did this tour through September and we had to bring in 3 riders to cover injury and sickness... If you want to join our rider data base have another look over the ad and send me your details, remember the shows are evenings and weekends so if we're in your area you could probably help us out alongside your current commitments... And remember to come and say hello if you see us out on the road. Thanks again Ian D info@tawtteam.com
  14. Hey Fella's, Ian Drummond here - thanks for your posts and emails - we've had a great response... just to answer a few questions; We will consider all styles of rider - comp, street, mod, stock, 24" the lot.... The MAD rigs are all very similar - find any rig pic on their site and ask yourself if you would be confident in riding it... Stop thinking you're too crap to do a demo!!! Just email us your details and you have a chance... Remember that I dont know any of you!!! Please include basic personal details - single / attached? live at home? religion? all gives us an idea of who you are!! We are looking at selecting the rider by tomorrow so act fast......!! good luck Ian
  15. Well, all the other bike stunt teams out there have get out clauses in their booking form for bad weather, or at least I know team extreme, MAD and Jez avery do...its standard practice... Ashton might demo in the rain but he's not really available for hire - he promotes his sponsors wherever they require him...so he doesn't really count!!! So as far as I'm aware we are the only riders willing to perform in all weathers, which was proved by riding demos every night for a month on a very wet and windy Welsh tour... I did do the Great Notts Bike ride demo for a couple of years, was a decent event but a pain in then arse for me as Raleigh ordered me to go and represent them without any back up - So I had to drive from Sunderland to Nottingham Rig up / Down, ride, commentate, hand out brochures and be a Raleigh / DB rep all on my own...then drive back to Sunderland the same day, Hard graft but still a good show. The Bikewise show in Durham is and always has been my favourite demo, it was my first ever demo back in 98 and we try and get to it every year if we aren't already booked up. If you've never heard of bikewise then just imagine James Lampkin and his mates filling an articulated trailer with obstacles from the Sheffield indoor moto trail and setting it up in your local car park!!! Its the absolute poodles plums!!!!! Cheers, Ian PS - JJ hurry up and come oop north already...Newcastle ride on Feb 5th looks promising????
  16. Hey, got a couple of nice pics the ther day, just thought I would share 'em with you.... http://www.tawtteam.com cheers, Ian

  18. Hey Buddy, Theres a few of us ride in Houghton-le-Spring if thats close to you???? Cheers, Ian
  19. Cheers fellas, Just updated the pics as you all advised and added a second gellery, check it out - a guy called Adam Lloyd Monoghan took some shots of a demo in East Sussex - and they're mint! hes real talented and considering he isnt a trials rider hes got amazing timing! Now the seasons over Im gonna do some street filming and get some clips going, I've had some moves in my head all year that I want to nail but Ive been to busy to practice! Will post on TF once they are ready....... Cheers, Ian
  20. Thanx for the feedback fellas...... The music on the video was chosen by the editor - Jonny Jones and we all know how camp he is!! Although it does seem to work well with the editing so Im happy with it....... Thanks again, Ian
  21. i used to scare myself a lot in trials, but then I realised that fear was actually the thing that made me fall - if you're tense and 'in a zone' you cant calculate what you're doing and even worse you cant remember doing it so you cant learn - thats how its worked for me anyway. Now when I ride I can remember everything i do and its always calculated, even with big drops just try forgeting about the drop and concentrating on technique - when you know you have the technique the fear dissapears......... Cheers, ian
  22. Good point, cheers mate.....I'll add it to my list. I dont spend much time on the net so these simple faults dont register with me!!!! So, even the simplest fault please let me know.... All feedback is greatly appreciated. Cheers, Ian
  23. Hey, I've had my site online for a few months now and I'm getting over 5,000 hits a month so it must be OK. But I've never really asked you lot what you think!!! Please take a look and comment - good or bad www.tawtteam.com Pictures will be updated soon, and my demo rig is being revemped next month. Just finished a season of 65 demo's so I have been slacking with the site a bit!!! Cheers, Ian
