  1. Its been a while since anyone has mentioned ian cooper was it in 1999 when he did the "spped trials" bit in MBUK since then nothing has happened, what a shame the ti ralieghs were legends of their time when we all rode 18" frame trials bikes Trev
  2. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to work out that a bend skewer under the force of a hope disc wont be very special, however the creaks without looking at it or hearing it id get a postal adress for NASA Trev
  3. I disagree i currently ride Dirt/XC/BMX more than Trials and on all of my bikes i use a much bigger ration than 22/? The Zebdi is a street bike so why not run a 32tooth bash guard like everyone used to do 6/7 years ago Trev
  4. All depends on your gear ratio. If youve got nothing bigger than a twenty two tooth on the front then whats the point you wont go anywhere fast. Trev
  5. Buy a deore front mech they are almost entirely universal with the "dual pull" system so it fits any type of lug arrangement and they come with a rather clever shim arrangement so that you can use any size diammeter pretty much Works well and is cheap too Trev
  6. Hes is right the square taper uses a smaller axel with larger bearing giving a higher impact capacity but it has less surface area in contact from bb to crank making the taper prone to rounding I say go with taper if you are tight on cash but if you want to spend lots on isis and replace the regulaly then you get a more direct feel with less flex due to thicker axels

You should only use enough grease on the BB to make fitting/refitting easy. They will come lose as you ride if they have to much grease on them. This is because as you pedal forward that is they way that BB's losen. One days ride should be fine :S Trev
  8. If you are trying to bleesd a magura disc brake with a syringe as with the HS33 than this will not work. Disc brakes with a resivoir such as Hope, Magura and Grimeca then you bleed it in the same way as a motorbike disc by- 1) Remove the top cap from the resivoir 2) Attach a hose to the bleed valve on the caliper 3) Pump the lever about 5-10 times to build pressure, hold lever in and release the bleed valve about 1/4 of a turn. 4) This should make oil and air bubbles come out continue process till the fluid coming out has no air bubbles in it ( you have to keep an eye on the oil level in the resivoir top it up with what it recomends it usually says on the lever) Trev
