    Maybe you have the chain on upside down, because on one side there is a larger section removed, that side is meant to be down when looking onto the chainring apparently. Just a very rough guess and probably wrong. Matt

    I'd worry more about the backings coming off the pads, because that seems to happen quite often. Matt

    I had a pair for a while, they were good brand new then after a little bit of time they wouldn't lock properly so i put tar on rims and today backings came off slightly annoying. Matt
