  1. just service the hub and replace a few parts and sort out the cones and see how it goes. New bearing aren't much and it may be just that is what you need. So i suggest is doing the above and giving it a good clean and grease up! Hope that helps Ian Bloomfield
  2. if you want a cheap option just use foot ball shin pads and they have a really nice fit and protect your ankle aswell Thanks Ian, and yes, that looks really nasty
  3. This is like the most pointless post although its had soo many posts on it because this guy is a total twat and really needs to get smashed by those BMXers. I bet you will think twice about trying to look hard on this forum as you have got yourself a really good name!?
  4. well, as in the whole brake, otherwise the callipers will flex and consequently will not reduce much 'flex'. And it all depends on the frame and if you can afford to add the extra weight of the echo. Ian
  5. it will be worth waiting a little while and getting a better bike
  6. its all debatable as the RB is good on weight and does stop flex as you do have to set it up properly not just put it on! Ian
  7. RB booster from tartybikes.co.uk along with some koxx browns for good grip and long life, and see how it goes. Should be good. Make sure you measure your frame for the booster, all measurements are on the site and happy riding mate Ian
  8. just use oil as this is what the brakes are designed for and you cant actaully feel the difference untill the water freezes and then your brakes dont work. And if you are trying to overcome spongy brake then get a booster and set your brakes up properly and get some good pads. And search for previous topics as i did comment on this issue. Thanks, hope it helps Ian Bloomfield
  9. just stick it in there. Dont worry about it
  10. im not effected by it luckly, but it comes in 7 year cycles, therefore if you have only just been effected by it this year, you have got another 7 years of it. Sorry Ian
  11. torn my trousers all the way off so they looked like some weird cow boy trousers! and the odd accidental backflip. thanks rather pointless though! ian
  12. I am acctualy surprised they didn't smash you in there and then, jumps take ages to build and are real head work. And also I think a BMX could beet a trials bike for speed Ian
  13. yea why not. Have you posted this on the big boys forum?? Ian Bloomfield
  14. vertical levers work really well, to find your main riding possition, loosen off your levers then ride and wherever they lay tighten them there and this is your natural riding possition. thanks Ian bloomfield
  15. 1 finger as you get more bar grip and also if u set up ur brakes good then there is no need for 2
  16. If you try the monty spray make sure you use the smallest amount with the wheel spinning because it is very sticky!! But I recomend it strongly as it is very good but needs to be aplied quite often as it doesn't have a very good grip life. thank you Ian Bloomfield
  17. use distilled water if you do as this will prevent your seals from rotting. But remrember water has oxygen in its compound therefore as its starts to degrade(break up) the oxygen will turn into little bobble which in turn will make the brake gain an air bubble. I would stick to the oil as this is what the brakes are made for and i havent noticed any difference between oil and water and i think it is all in the mind people saying there is a difference. Thats my opinion though and that is what i recomend. thank you Ian Bloomfield
  18. i have not phoned cleanbikes, but they have them on there site!? thanks Ian
  19. monty are good and the new ones have megga grip? you should look into them, although maxxis are really good and are good for natural and street and have long lasting wear time. Ian
