  1. Second hand your choices are largely limited by what happens to be on sale at the time.

Unless you currently have a bike and have time to waste waiting for something special to appear in the for sale section, and if that is the case you should spend your time trying to get validated so you can pm whoever about the bike and post in that section

  2. I dont live with mine, but my mother is the usual moaning old woman going on that i could get hurt and not be able to work. To which i have explained that work is not everything at my age. But she does like watching the videos and has requested i take a load round there (Y)

Thats trials videos before some nob jockey gets funny <_<

  3. I think it would have been a better topic if you had asked for tips on how the gap further from static, although that may be because I want to know that and cant be bothered to spend half an hour searching just to find the answer I already suspect. More practice <_<

  4. Is it worth getting a girlfriend even though it may end badly?

Only if shes a good one thats behaves herself and doesn't stop you spending time on your hobbies (Y)

If you do get one (ever) you should leave it was long a possible before you nob her because after that is when they start to go weird. Like going physco, or trying to make themselves the center of your life, or becoming super possessive <_<

  5. Goggle + Copy and paste =

Riser bars have better sweep (how far a bar angles back, when looking at it from the saddle) and rise (how much the bar is angled up from the ground) than flat bars. This means more comfort because riser bars can be more subtly adjusted to fit you by rotating them. No matter where you put flat bars with shims or stems, you just can't fine-tune the geometry as well.

Also risers are usually wider, although this doesn't really apply to trials specific bars

  6. neither, just get some mineral oil and bleed it :) there should be a faq on bleeding somewhere on here (Y)

I will order the xt lever and mineral oil, but i dont see how you can bleed it without the syringe? I did a search and im pretty sure i need the magura bleed kit for the louise > syringe adaptor (i already have a syringe and the hoses from the hs33 bleed kit) unless you have a secret bleed method?

  7. Okay I might just go with the Shimano lever then (Y)

What will i need to bleed it? Will i need both the shimano and louise bleed kits?

Edit: Actually, looking at the kits i will just need the magura one, i think?

  8. At the moment I have a 2005 REAR louise on the front running the lever upside down and it sucks balls (predictably <_< )

I have been trying to find the the front lever for sale individually but it doesn't seam to be possible.

So it looks like i will have to buy a whole new front brake and sell the rear, which is going to be about £117 from wiggle for the louise.

My question is are there any better options out there for the money?

  9. Personally i would expect anything from anyone on a Saturday as Royal Mail are useless, should be Monday

Going off topic but still relevent, I know a lot of people bash supercycles. But i have never had anything except excellent service from them (Y)

  10. As in directly connected using crossover cable rather than a hub/switch i take it

If so you have to assign the ip address manually, start there, check they both ips and report back

Toms post wasnt there when i started typing

  11. How many engagements on the Tensile, the new TRY ALL freewheel, available in about two weeks will have 108. Projected price 75 euro, lock ring faces out, so held in place by crank arm/rock ring.

Way to slip your product into a competitors news release :-

Although the question is valid, how many engagements will the Tensile have?

  12. Tools > Folder Options > View > Untick 'Hide Extensions For Known File Types'

    Rename File

Retick box (or dont, its up to you)

Put it into a folder. Then in the folder go |Tools/Folder Options. Then click on the view tab. [attachmentid=4468]

You then need to uncheck this box, this should allow you to change the file extention by renameing it. You will find afterwards that all the files on your computer are now shown with the extention. You can stop this by simpily checking the box again.

    Hope ive helped

    Rob

I'll just go and bang my head on the wall some more then :-

  13. Bit of a mixed bag then, least i wasn't the only one "working"

Me and the gf were bored, so we went to Sainsbury's and bought cheap booze, then watched Dumb and Dumber. I'll leave you to imagine the rest of the night.

If you looks anything like your avatar i shudder to think what your gf must look like :o
