  1. So when you going to start your business then? lol, looks very good and rigid, would you make them for other people? what kind of place do you work at with cnc machines, i want to work there and have some lunch breaks too
  2. Ive got a hope one, but it creaks slighlty. but i should be gettin a new bike for my 18th, so I thought i might treat myself
  3. The chain has lasted for ages at least a year i just think the magic link was in the place where it gets the most amount of pressure applied, which should be just before the chain ring. I wasn't using a huge amount of force, it was literally rolling off the cable drum onto the slopped pallet, I am also a smooth rider. Does a thin kmc kool chain work on a 9spd or is it deffinalty just an 8spd? Tom
  4. Does anybody know if a kool chain would work on a 9speed cassette?
  5. I was just riding along as you do. and I was just lineing up to do a drop only about 3ft off of a cable drum onto a slopped pallet and roll off, easy as walking basically. Anyway did a few pedal hops to the edge of the cable drum lineing myself up and did a hard pedal hop to get myself onto the slopped pallet, and........BANG! I was like what the hell happened there, launching my self slightly over the handle bars and before i knew it I was impacting the tarmac drive outside my house, OUCH! Managing to cut my hand leg and armpit (dont know how i managed the armpit really hurts though lol) This was the first occuranse of this happening to me. oh yes you've guessed it, my chain snapped. I looked at my chain rolling it off the casette and it was the bloody gold magic link that sram supply you with the chain. The chain I use is a Sram PC59 Everybody probably knows this problem already but i thought just to warn you guys out there dont use the gold magic link they supply with the chain. I am just going to join my chain with a REAL link so it shouldnt break again. MAGIC MY ARSE Does anybody know of a good chain for a 9speed casette? Here are a couple of pictures of the bloody "gold magic link" not so magic in my opinion now Cheers for looking Tom
  6. here is the magura manual if you have got Adobe Acrobat Reader Click Here Magura Manual The filling and bleeding of a MAGURA brake is not a routine work. This is due to the fact that the MAGURA Royal Blood hydraulic oil does not absorb water like DOT brake liquid in cars and on motorcycles. A filling and bleeding of a MAGURA is therefore only necessary in case of an incorrect installation or a tubing change after a crash. Only use MAGURA Royal Blood hydraulic oil, never DOT brake liquid! 1. The service kit contains everything you need which you need for bleeding or repairing your MAGURA brake. Push (by hand) a barbed fitting into both the transparent filler and vent tubes. 2. Put the filler tube on the syringe and fill completely with MAGURA ROYAL BLOOD mineral oil. In the case of an emergency, cooking oil will work, but needs to be flushed out after the return to civilization. Never use DOT brake liquid! Pay close attention not to have any air in the tube or syringe. Remove bleed screw (5mm allen screw) at the slave cylinder. Fit filled syringe and filler tube and fix it with an 8mm open end wrench. 3. HS 33: Turn the brake lever (HS 33) on the handlebar from the horizontal position until it is in the shown 20° angle. Turn back fully the TPA knob in the “-” position. HS 11: Turn the brake lever on the handlebar horizontal. Turn fully back the 4 mm pad adjustment screw. Remove the bleed screw in the brake lever. 4. Install the vent tube and hold its end into the oil bottle. 5. Push the oil through the system. Use the whole content of the syringe. You can see air in the form of small bubbles in the vent tube. 6. The bleeding procedure is completed when no more air bubbles can be seen in the vent tube.Remove the vent tube and replace the bleed screw. (Tightening torque 4 Nm/ 34 in.lbs).Remove syringe from slave cylinder and replace the bleed screw. (Tightening torque 4 Nm/ 34 in.lbs). Return brake lever to its normal riding position, and clamp correctly. (Tightening torque 4 Nm/ 34 in.lbs). They system is correctly bled when the pads move immediately upon activating the lever-blade. Adjust the pad/rim clearance with the TPA or the allen adjustment bolts (see chapter maintenance/pad change). Check the entire system for oil leaks. Check the flawless performance, high power and excellent modulation.

  10. That is one of the nicest bikes i have ever seen, i think im going to have to get in contact with iolobikes, i love how you can design what you want to ride etc... It is such a good idea. Btw what chain tensioner is it that you use?
  11. You must ride smooth to manage that LOL what frame have you got now / getting next?
  12. I have just recieved my new Hope XC Stem 10° 90mm (162g) today, the handlebars I use are the RaceFace Diabolus 28inch (380g) these are very strong bars, but come at a heavy weight. This morning i went out for a quick burst and it felt very nice, the stem helps you flick the back end round nicely and feels very stiff. Size 31.8! You can see my small review on the new Hope XC Stem 10° 90mm (162g) Click here! Hope XC Stem 10° 90mm (162g)
  13. I bought the Hope XC Stem 10° 90mm (162g) from wiggle last week and it arrived first thing this morning. The reason for buying the stem was because my previous stem, the RaceFace Diabolus 10° 50mm (250g), was slightly too short and pretty heavy, I kept knocking my thigh into the handle bars whilst doing a big move this was stoping me from progressing to larger gaps and higher backwheeling. At 8.15am this morning i opened the parcel and there it was in its hope box, looking mighty fine. I soon whipped the RaceFace stem off and put the new Hope one on carefully, applying a small amount of grease to the threads as it says in the fitting instructions. I was very impressed with the machining and how aesthetically pleasing it looks. It feels very stiff and i believe it is pretty strong. I think it has progressed my riding pretty much straight away, I found it alot easier to do a gap or go up a high obstacle. I would recommend to anyone the purchase of either of the stems, they both are stiff and i believe to be strong, but the downside of the RaceFace Diabolus is it is a bit to chunkey. *I bought for £53.99 free delivery* <- Thought i might add that in Black Hope XC Stem 10° 90mm (162g) Black Hope XC Stem 10° 90mm (162g)
  14. stick some waterproofs on, unless you like to ride in soaked clothes(makes u heavier lol), it makes you as a rider abit smoother doing smaller things more accurate using less power in your pedal kicks, and helps you trust your brakes in the wet, the monty pads work great
  15. inpired by other riders, mostly the both marts from tricks n stunts, but i wouldnt have got into it if one of my m8s brothers didnt start, i saw him ride and i just wanted a trials bike
  16. that bike looks very very nice, i really want one, unique to most of the other 26inch bikes with its horizontal dropouts, have a lot of fun riding that beast
  17. does anyone know of good websites/links of how to true bicycle wheel, or can someone reply with some acknowledgable tips and technics of getting your wheel back to nearly as good as new?

  20. Hey, i am looking at getting a new rear tyre, i seem to think that the maxxis high roller dual ply is popular and the tryall tyre, does anybody know if 2.5" tyre will fit in the ashton justice without rubbing anywhere, maxxis = £21.99 at CRC tryall = £30 at tartybikes + £6 for postage £36 is the tryall worth the extra money?will 2.5" fit in a ashton justice?how does dual ply make it harder to get pinch flats? (is it slightly thicker sidewall that prevents)which is the overall better tyre?
  21. they are very comfortable and soft, as i said the best i have had, i did use the raceface lock on grips but they did wear out very quickly and have a plastic hard centre, but these raceface ones look soft all the way down very padded too
  22. sorry it was mum that told me it was RSI, i think it sounds like the arm pump where you use the muscle alot in a short amount of time, it kinda does ache my arm as well as just my L hand index finger, when i rest for a min or so it goes away, but it does come back very quickly, it just restricts me from doing a long trials line or something, or something
