  1. Finally i have decided what frame to buy, and bought a A2 from select bikes just now. I would like to say thought that Tarty bikes where very helpfull and gave me some great advice. Thanks guys. Hope i have made the right decision. Also i tried to order a echo isis internal bb(red) and bb fitting tool from tarty but had problems so will probabley phone my order. What do you think of the white and red look and do you rate the echo urban 07 fork with this frame. See you
  2. i am 32 even older b*****d! :$ , is anyone older.
  3. I have about £250/300 to spend on a frame from crimbo and its burning a hole in my pocket.
  4. Mine was a shooter aswell and i am still riding mine but will soon be upgrading
  5. I put a post on regarding the new ashton trials fram a couple of days ago and nobody had heard anything. And then what do you know my MBUK came through the door with a first look at the new ashton/orange Raid XR. It is a non trials rigid bike thats a cross between a BMX and a MTB or is it Whatever it looks dam nice for street and park dutys.
  6. Has anyone got any info yet or pics of the new ahton frame, and is it corect that Orange are getting involved. i can`t find anything
  7. Check out this guy hope its not dead old. :$ http://videos.observedtrials.net/Gravity.wmv
  8. Hi there Can anyone help with the specifacations on a shooter (trials setup) ie:Wheel base, b.b hight, chain stay lenghts. thanks
  9. I got some koxx browns some weeks back now and they are great on a medium grind. The problem was that i did not know the difference between a light ,medium, hard grind and the browns work best with a medium, Just grind it and try it and then you will know. To go to far on a grind you have to give it plenty of wellie. Thats a hard grind. I think i found some pics in search when i was a grind virgin. Just go for it you cant be that far out.
  10. I have lots of christmas money and really want to start my new build. So hope it`s soon.
  11. Has anyone heard any rumors about tarty bikes having a january sale, or any other sales going on in trials land ?
  12. Thats a sh#t crimbo present, when did you do it and how long will it be on. Not good. you have all my sympathys.
  13. I use koxx browns on a heavy grind on the back, but still use good old koolstops on smooooth on the front as i like it nice and squiggy.
  14. I have just found them at http://www.leisurelakesbikes.com/ProductDe...ategoryID/54/v/ if you are still interested.
  15. Sorry i`m no expert but i have never heard of them. Who makes them?
  16. My shooter looks horrible without a mini seat. I have never thought of cutting the seat tube down.
  17. I always wear mine to the point that it feels a bit weird when i don't have it on. The same goes for my shin pads its just like there part of my riding setup.
  18. Thanks for the help i will keep you informed on the frame i get. The Zona looks great but i like the look of the GU typhoon any info? Also i don't want to use my parts off my DDG as i have been riding on my own for the last five years and i am going to give it my mate so i can get him into trials. I will carry on using the search to see what you think of different frames and let you know what i buy. Thanks
  19. I have been riding a DDG shooter about five years now and finally decided to sort a new bike out. After using search i have decided that it would be much moor cost effective to try my own build. The problem is that i know lots of the basic repair stuff, but have never built from scratch. I have decided that i would like quite a high spec but can`t really go bonkers(1000 approx), i will also be adding parts at a month at a time or when i have a little extra cash. I have been searching the usual on line stores and to start with would like to buy a fork and frame for about £300. I ride a mix of plts/walls ect and some natural so what frame/fork do you think would benefit me more? and whats all this long and short business about. I would be grateful if you lot could help me out as your advice has been a great help in the past, and i will keep you posted how i get on. Thanks for the help. By the way the koxx browns worked great on the grind and i probably learnt more back wheel brake control in a hour than i did in a year using tar on smooth.
  20. Buy the parts you need from someone else if you can get them, but don`t cancel from bikedock just in case. And then return the parts to bikdock if the others come first.
  21. I have made about ten purchases from bikedock and thought they were excellent. The goods i purchased from then usually come the day after i ordered them. Are the parts that you ordered bespoke or can you get them anywere ?
  22. Nice to see more old gits like myself on here. I have learnt loads since joining. The search facillity is great Nice one.
  23. I have just snapped a spoke while out riding (not good) and need to know what options have. I have removed the broken spoke but it is on the chain side and i don't have the tools to remove the cassette. 1/ Do i buy the tools and try to repair and true it myself. (exspesive & time consuming) 2/ Leave it as it is! and go out as normal.(very cheap) 3/ send it off to Tarty`s. (?) 4/ Try a local bike shop. (who will try and sell me a sh*t Wheel) The wheel is a D.D.G Tango with the same hub. Thanks
