  1. Pads: Heatsink Blue Time used: 2weeks probably 30hrs riding Rim used: Onza Hogg Brake: Mag '05 Grind: No, brand new, clean Tar: Not a chance! Wear rate: None that I've seen yet Opinion of a working brake: Good strong hold, doesn't slip. Review: Absolutely the best pads I've ever used! I'm using clean rim and installed them in the rain, and they were fantastic then! No bedding in required. I have had no problems wet or dry and as of yet haven't slipped. There has been no noticeable wear to the pads at all. Even make a lovely trials squeak, the nicest I've ever heard. Only one downside is they seem to collect dirt alot quicker than any of my other pads. I think Steve has hit it right on the nose with these ones!
  2. Thanks Wayne that is a big help. It's good to hear what riders think of their sponsors. Thanks mate
  3. This is also why I asked for those sponsored to give opinions so I can find out who is best to approach for who and who not to.
  4. Right I have had this idea about a business I'd like to start for a while now. So far it is still in my head. I just want to do do a bit of market research before I start approaching companies. All it is, is one question so here goes. If you were good enough which company would you like to sponsor you? I f any one is already sponsored please give your accounts of the upsides and the downsides of being sponsored. Thanks for taking the time to read this. And you never know in the next couple of years I might have a successful trials specific business!
  5. Yeah they sent me another one. It came 3days after they had told me about the first one. Not thinking about them now. I'm out and about bouncing around on my sangly new t-pro (Y)
  6. Don't ask me why but I decided to buy my 05 T-pro at the beginning of September with them. It cost 419 with free p&p. They used DHL to send out my bike. They said would take 5-7days. 12 days later still not there. I emailed them and they said it had been nicked. I thought they were having me on, but turns out DHL say they have lost it. So not great service but in the end not their fault. But still not very helpful and they like sending 3 word emails. Anyway won't be buying off them again.
  7. Tell me about it. My bike is brand new, with brand new everything!
  8. I cant see it being the hubs as it doesn't do it all the time, like you said it's only when your pedals are at the bottom and a hub would be at anytime probably even when you're not pedaling. I'm stuck! If it was a clicking or crunching I would be able to find it but it's such a distant noise I can't pin point it.
  9. I have got a brand new T-pro, out of the box less than a week ago and mine is doing exactly the same. I have looked everywhere. All bearings, cogs, pedals everything is tight and as it should be. What components do you have from your original T-pro? Sucks don't it!
  10. Ahh gotcha. Now I can see why that would make a difference thanks people.
  11. This probably sounds stupid but what is the BB measurement to and from. I've heard people saying it can be +/- whatever?
  12. I'm new again to trials(Used to ride a few years back.) I was just wondering if people could explain the geometry terminology. I think I know what the wheel base is. Does the odd 5mm really make such a difference. Sorry if this has been asked before. I did search but couldn't find anything. And sorry again if this is a stupid question.
  13. I've just ordered a new T-pro (My first bike since I stopped ridin 3 years ago). It should arrive next week sometime. As I'm off work on Monday 19th and the missus is working, thought it would be the perfect oppertunity to get with some trials riders and give my new bike a good thrashing. Anyone interested?
  14. Well I guess tht's the verdict. The pro is a clear winner! I've just ordered it from trialsshop (Mark Anthony). I should be back in trials in no time!
  15. A mate of mine used to ride the Club Roost. He had his 2 weeks and did the same thing, while doing a stoppie it snapped well actually the head tube got comletely ripped off. He took it back and got a new one and still has it now. I think it must have been a bad batch.
  16. So T-pro for strength then. what are the difference in weights?
  17. Yeah the 2005 ones. I think the T-mag looks the muts. I've heard the T-pro is stronger. Which is heavier? I'm really not sure!
  18. I think I've made up my mind now to go mod after I had a go on my mates mission prodigy. i have been offered 2 great deals on the T-pro and T-mag and wondered which to go for. I'm 5ft 11, 12 -13st, ride street but after getting back into the scene would like to start entering comps. So all dvice will be useful guys.
  19. 8.5 thats only 18lbs. You mite have swayed me into getting a T-Pro. That isn't a bad weight!
  20. On the mod side of things the T-Mag 2005 doesn't seem bad for the cash but has bad reviews about the ski-plate. I don't intend to jump onto it should that be a problem. A mate told me not to go onza and splash out a little more on the Monty 221pro. Don't know much about it. Any good. BTW do pahley stil make their 26Mhz?
  21. What about full builds. Either mod or stock?
  22. I still haven't quite decided mod or stock. What's a good mod for the price?
  23. Planet-X Zebdi. I thought you couldn't get that in the UK anymore. There was a guy (with such a big head) riding one in my town saying that you couldn't buy them anymore.
  24. I had seen that in my local bike shop it does look the muts. But is it any good. Weight etc? But since when had trials gone disc? I thought it was all HS33's. I used to swear by my old set! Cheers
  25. Never thought about building. That could be an idea. Stock would be easy to build but mod not so. Whats a good stock frame to start considering budget. One downside of building is I have to wait and I really have the urge to get back out in the thick of things!!!! Cheers mate.
