bb7s have loads of adjustment on them, you can move the pads in + out individually (which you can't do on hydraulics, i dont think) they're cheaper, looks don't mean f**k all compared to something that works really well, and it's easier to get spares if a mechanical brake dies mid ride it's not going to cost more than a 5er to replace cables etc, with a hyrdo theres loads that can go wrong. bb7ftw
i wouldn't worry about it, i went there last year (i was 15) and i got served prety much everytime. tehe yay i'm well excited i get to go vip this year 'cause my mate gets free tickets yay leeds edit: theres a beer for anyone who finds me at leeds i'll be wearing an fbm or tarty shirt
buy a bleed kit, the heatsink one is awesome and way cheaper than magura branded one. and use it in bucket/bath for that super overdone method do you put your finger over the open slave when you pump your lever?
no leave it on, i missed having a bash when i went to a bashless frame, (cough get a frame with a bashplate) you worry less about killing it i know you don't care about your frame getting dented after it's been smashed up a bit, but when it's all new + prety you appreciate not having to worry about killing it 5 minutes in bashplates ***!
grab is more imediate, like when you start to push the pad onto the rim you feel it jerk+slow you down, hold means the wheel just doesn't move for shit even at a silly angle where the bike should just skid off an edge the wheel stays locked, i think it's 'cause softer grabbier pads tend to get cut by the grind so they loose hold (may be way off)
