  1. Great weekend.

long drive I am knackered now.

Rob faired well now he has moved up and age so well done to him. Finished on 15

I had a great day on Sunday in the old farts class, it was a close run thing but I managed to pip my nemissis Niel the "Rave" Raven to first place with an awesome 2 on Mrs Sherridens section and a unbelivable 1 on Freds section. I finished on my old fave of 69 and I am stoked with that, just couldn,t find the nadds to pull off the gap on Joe Olivers section sorry crowd for that :$

Well done to all who made the trip I think every body seemed to have a great day and thank god the rain stayed off all day.

Thanks Fred Mick and Barbara your hard work was well worth it.

    John

    (1st old git) :o

  2. can i change my ride to an observationer???? :D as i will be coming down, but i wont be competing at the world championships in italy.

therefore i see no point me taking part but will be at hook woods and blackpool to observe??? if you require observers.

    Wayne.

Onza will be wanting you to ride Wayne, also you seem to inspire the little ones with your huge mouth and jolly japes.

You will not be observing you WILL be riding even if I have to ride around with you.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Both Rave..on and I are doing it.

  3. Hi I am guessing you will be about as old as I am (jp). (mid to late 30's) :-

We have a trial this weekend at Addingham moorside in sunny Silsden, me and a couple of old blokes started to ride again last year after 20 years lay off to have kids, get jobs, wives, houses, cars and so on. (N)

We have a great laugh falling off and trying to beat each other, we are not the best but the competition is fierce........

Come along and meet us if you like, you can try out a couple of bikes at the comp, if you are as old as me and no doubt as heavy and stiff I would be tempted to go for a more old school ride that has a higher front end and a little shorter, I have tried all sorts and they kill me do the new long low high bb bikes that are about now.

Any how welcome to the forum mind how you go and I look forward to meeting and battleing it out with you one day.. P S get some shinnies and some radox cos its gonna hurt

  4. Well all sections have been set out.

    Just to recap:

    Beginner: White Flags

    Novice: Yellow Flags

    Inter: Red or Blue Flags

There are 7 sections, either 3 or 4 laps depending on the weather.

If you still want to ride at this trial and your worried you havent got you entry form in then you can enter on the day, bring your entry form with you!

    See you all there!

Hi Nadine do you have a setting or address for a sat nav please.

Robbie and I intend on coming but don't know where to go.

    Thanks.

    Jp and RP

  5. I will ask Rob if he fancies it, if he does we will come and have a play.

Can I ask why you are running it on Sat ? I like the 1pm start, however you may well get more riders if you ra it on Sunday as a lot of riders, riders parents work on Sat.

How are the levels worked out, what class does Rob need to do as he is 10 but not a beginner, and me 37 rubbish but up for anything.

I think that all the Northern tykes lot should try and support this club as I know how much hard work goes into running these events,

Cleckhuddersfax is not far for most of you.

I will put the word around locally.

See you on Sat (work permiting)

    Good luck.

    John

it is going to be one hell of a day, and yes it is all inside thank god.

  10. Come on lads and lasses, the teams are filling up now.

We need to have it all sorted out as soon as possible as we have a lot of work to do.

PLEASE get the forms sorted as soon as you can.

Just remember it is for a great cause and this little lad can no longer ride his bike so if you are able please support this event.

    Thanks

    John and the team

  11. yer trial was good, had alot of fun, weather was runnish but i dont think it mattered to much. I thought the sections were good, on my last lap they were pritty hard lol, the 1st section up the hill was like riding in a swamp at the start lol. 22 wasa good score in those conditions i think wayne, I think it could have been cleaned in the dry.

We didn't beat John up but don't think he deserved it after observing in those conditions, big thanks to the observers, to stand around all day voluntaraly in those conditions takes some effort.

Yeh thanks Pat for letting me off I was scared to death when you and Wayne came round to my section.

Had a right laugh watching you lot slip sliding down my hill. :- Matt Holdsworth fell from the top all the way down I laughed so much I nearly bought a round of drinks........ :S And Buckies manual straight in to rock was a killer >_<

Watch out for more hill climb sections in the future,

Well done to all who stuck it out.

    JP
