I run a lower end cheaper cable disc brake, (hayes mx-2) and i love it , it modulates brilliantly and locks perfect, a fair bit of adjustability on the caliper, and when used in conjunction with a top notch lever or as such it works brilliantly, i've had mine for well over a year now, as long as you keep your cable in good condition your brake will work , to keep my running smooth every sunday i: 1. Flush outer cable with wd40 or similar. 2. Teflon grease the inner cable. It's a 5 minute job to keep your brake working great, well worth it in the end, and i doesn't cost too much to get new cable, a matter of a few quid, rather than if you knacker your hose up when you have to shell out for hose nd bleeding kits etc. Well worth cable
