  1. hi mate try and get yourself on a ride near to were you live there will be all sorts of different bikes there. most people dont mind you having ago of there bike i would deffinaty try a couple of short bikes and a couple of long because you dont want to jump in and waste money. ive had ago on a python and i didnt like it, it was too long (as im a short ar*e) and really hard to get onto the back wheel. but its all down to you and how it feels, personally cheers fergie
  2. i think its because you dont want all the topic titles saying help because you will have to look on all of them to see what they are about whereas if you give a breif discription in the topic title then people can say to themselves wether they are intrested in looking in this topic OR for example "bleeding maguras" i might know nothing about bleeding maguras and i might not want to know how to so therefore i dont have to look in and read it all saving me time to look at differnt/more enjoyable posts hope i helped cheers
  3. tpro would proberblys be the best beginner bike i loved mine and just upgraded all the parts ended up a really nice bike asuming you are wanting a mod? i fyou dont like tpros just have a look for somthing short and fairly light as it feels as though you have more control over the bike maybe a monty (abit pricey though) or you could get 1 second hand cheers fergie
  4. hi mate, this has never happened to me but you could try deleting all of msn off your computer then download it again cheers fergie
  5. hes right i think if your spending £110 on a bt 4 is an ok deal but the frames are really old i think you should just keep looking around and you bound to find a nice short bike its up to you though cheers
  6. is it just rubbing? because mine was then i found out i put the washers in wrong :$ so the disk was closer to 1 pad then the other so kept sticking. cheers fergie
  7. hi mate i really like the bt style bikes/frame will feel pretty wierd as i think its got a high bb (correct if im wrong) do you know what version it is (4,5,6?) an dhow much were you thinking on payin for it? cheers fergie
  8. hope mono they are unbelievebly good. but if you where to buy it brand new it would put you back a fair few pennys id suggest if you were goin to get a hope mono get it second hand. cheers fergie edit:thats a good disk brake ^^^. but i cant help you with the juicy neva had 1 sorry
  9. my mate had a planet x he cracked it once then got it rewelded then it cracked again so he took it back to the welding shop and got these metal strengthing bars welded on and the frame didnt crack again even though he was trying huge hooks and he wasnt the smoothest rider around so for what it has been put through i think its done really well just like a uncracked frame personally i think if you were like him, harsh rider trying huge things i would make sure you get a very very good deal on the frame but should be okay if you are just doing medium stuff on it. otherwise i would just save up for a uncracked frame cheers fergie
  10. yer mate it says all rules at the top of page because i read them

  13. for forks just get some second hand ones i got my koxx forks for £30 posted was bargin and have lasted ages they are a good choice for hubs id say the old echo 1s (unsure of name) but come on the echo rims with the squares in you can usally pick them up dead cheap as there fairly old cheers fergie
  14. hi mate im in the same situation. im running an acs on a monty too but couple of weeks back i was looking at either an eno or the new tensil freewheel. but the problem with the tensil is that i havnt heard of many people who have one as they just came out recently (or will be out soon) so there is no garentees on how good it is. i was thinking about an eno but pretty soon i will be needing a new back wheel so i think i am going to go for a profile as from what ive seen most people run them and i have heard more, better comments on them (imo) and vision wise they are more noticable and look really nice and have a wide range of colours to suit your bike. i have also recently checked tarty bikes and they have now got the chris king hubs in stock (check front page, have yet to update site) not sure on the price yet, but ill get back to you if i find out soon. i dont know anything about chris kings it was just another option. and see if any of these other people on the forum can help you out. cheers fergie.
  15. pretty sure someone posted a picture of a t-mag with a profile on section: sites, vids and pics topic title: bike pics (at top of the page) page: chech from page 12 onwards (guessing its 13) hope i helped fergie edit: :$ sorry it was a chris king and it was on page 14 :$

  17. hi mate all montey parts are good and if you havnt got the money yet you can always upgrade them whilst you go on but out of your links its only the "zoo" link that is a 20" bike the rest "czar" "adamant" and "echo" are 26" but on the echo link you can get a 20" version which is the same style which is call echo team you can get it from tarty but you will have to look around if you want the cheapest price cheers fergie
