  1. yea you probably will. an 18 tooth runs close enough to the bashguard, id say a 22 would be too close, a big hit on you guard and it will be hitting the chainring
  2. thats a bit crap service. like already said, use tarty. ive been buying from them everyweek for the last month or so and every order has came the day after or as soon as possible. good service from them and they can give you info should you need it.
  3. 22 this year. its funny when people see you jumping on things, off things etc and say, shouldnt you have grown out of your bmx by now? no, doubt ill grow out of my "bmx" . people like ot pi are an inspiration and give me drive to keep going and get better.
  4. i was running an onza hog at the rear. i used koxx blues and still use them now. theyre shit hot in wet and good in dry. i was gaping to walls in the snow with them and they didnt slip. good pads
  5. i usually rip up the rocks listenin to a bit of charlotte church old school choir tunes. makes me gap further, the angelic sound of her voice seems to help me float across the air. apart from that, jimi hendrix, metallica, led zeppelin, stone roses, jam, pink flloyd
  6. there are a few good begginer bikes from a mod perspective. it really depends on how serious you are about trials and how much patience you have. if its totally new to you and you're not sure, buy a t pro, they're average bikes and can be upgraded pretty easily and come with good enough components for beginners. if you think you will progress fast though, and are serious about the sport i would buy a second hand koxx or monty, depending on your money a brand spanker. every bike will benefit your learning, however if you buy a brand spanker top of the range you wont have anything to aspire to riding, and no comfort zone, in that......oh when i get a "blank" i will progress etc. TBJ
  7. thought it was only me that made sense of that
  8. due to the extreme force put on trials bike frames theres a few snappages out there etc. i was just wondering to myself if anyone has had their frame repaired at all, or if they would appreciate a service to repair frames?

  10. if your using a 4 inch grinder then all you need to do is buy a backing pad and some sanding disks, i wud suggest 60 grit. the backing pad and the front screw bit enables you to run sanding pads on small grinders. if you get a backing pad from say dixon halls or some other decent power tool place and some sanding pads, 36 grit being harsh, 60 being smooth, you can sand the anodised coating off without grindin your rim
  11. its down to choice really, but hydraulic is the better method i think. motorcycle trials bikes used to have cable brakes but they got rid of them for a stronger brake, introduced hydraulic disks which are the standard now. cables are okay but they stretch, i know you can take up the slack etc as with the tpa on mag's but eventually the cables get frayed etc etc. both brakes require maintaining but hydros are more powerfull and i think less messy when setup. from a trials perspective, when braking with one single finger u can get more force to the rim through a hyrdo.
  12. (and that's with further maths at A-Level so don't question the maths!) well ill forget my strucutrual engineering degree and bow down to the genius. listen, i dont care to be validated or about pathetic forum rants, i was simply putting my opinion across that i can understand why members get annoyed. that was it, end of. if the topic wants to be dragged out then drag it out, remember i didnt start the topic just contributed to it.
  13. no need for the twat. you studying pschology at college and trying out your new found skills or just talking a load of pretencious rubbish. ill go for the second . anyway simon was being civilised and putting his points across clearly. its a pitty that some pissant has to bring the maturity level down a peg or two
  14. you might just have to run a spacer there, not 100% sure though. ring the place where you bought em from and ask them they will let you know
  15. "You must also understand that the average age here on trials-forum is about 15/16, most of whom think text talk is acceptable, as well as spamming with general immature bollocks and non thought out posts and threads. I'd rather this all be in one section where its not only easier to see people who put the effort in, but also easier to get rid of those who will consistantly 'cause a problem." thats fair enough, as a suggestion though, maybe consider validation a bit more frequently than at present, or at least give pre members who seem to be disgruntled about the subject some idea on how to behave as to get validated. anyway thats enough from me on the subject.
