  1. You could always buy a slime liner.
  2. If you cant get a mec hanger, get a top hat insert. All you have to do is drill out out the thread a bit, place the top hat in there, and screw the mec back in. I got one in my bike and works great. I got a few lieing around in my halfords store if your local bike shop hasnt got any.
  3. Oh rite, im not saying they arnt a good hub, that was going on what a couple of mates have told me about theirs saying the engagement point slip sometimes under presser.
  4. Lol did have, bused to have a little t-mag but had to sell as it was taking to much room up.
  5. Take them off, give them a clean, make sure the taper is ok, wack a little bit of grease on the taper, put some locktite 242 or 270 on the bolts, put the bolt on, torque the bolts up to the correct torque setting (i think its 8Nm for if its an m6 bolt) Leave for 20 mins to let the locktite set....and bobs your uncle!
  6. Have you checked to see if there any stif links in the chain?
  7. Sorry dont mean to be rude but what are you on about? Its got nothing to do with the actuall bike if hes just taking the tyre off then its just the tyre and the rim. I have a mavic 721 (exactly the same as a 521) on my DH bike and the sidewalls are exactly the same weather its on a Dh bike or a trials bike. Anyway yeah, best way to get the tyre off if its well and truly stuck is boil the kettle and pore hot water onto it so it sofens the beed up, just as 'Trials_joe' said. Then get hold of the tyre move it side to side and you may hear a little 'pop' or something thats just where the tyre may have stuck to the rim a little as it has set its self. Then a good set of tyre levers (i use trax levers) and your tyre should come straight off!
  8. I got thiiiis: http://www.pinkbike.com/modules/photo/?op=viewℑ=657041 and this: http://www.pinkbike.com/modules/photo/?op=viewℑ=657042
  9. The best braded hose to get are the goodridge ones. Just put one on the back of my mono mini on my 4x bike and its made a great difference. They feel alot more solid no more spongyness. They do make the brake feel alot better. Check out chain reaction cycles they cost between £25 and £30 depending on what brake you have. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/SearchR...ssion=BRAND_ASC (scroll down you will find them )
  10. The highroller is a great all round tyre but the 60a compund could be a bit hard and not grip that well.. If i were you i would ask them to order a super tacky. But a better tyre for trials are the maxxis minions in 42a super tacky. These grip really really well and i see alot of people using them. Don't go for slow reezey as i think they are way to soft, and wont last 5 minuts on the road. The slow reezey tyres are off road use only if you want them to last. (Just for a note, the reason they super tacky tyres and the slow reezey tyres dont have the orange band on them is because the compound of the tyres are too soft and maxxis couldn't get the orange band to stick. )
  11. Check around your caliper make sure there has been no fluid leaking out of the caliper. Make sure the bleed nipple is tight because if there has been a leak you could have got fluid onto the the rotor or pads, if thats the case, clean the rotor and its new pads unfortunalty. Once a pad is contaminated no matter how new its ballsed and the brake wont work properly. If there has been no leaks and the rotor and pads are fine, just make the caliper is properly centred and keep riding with the brake on to help it bed in. As 'wayneone' said the cold weather can slow the process down. Cheers.
  12. The only problem with the hope xc hub is that sometimes the engagements points slip with trials. I would spend a little more and go for the bulb, much better and stronger hub. Ok its a bit heavier but not alot. The hope proII hub is to be really good, its going to be fazing out both the bulb and xc. Its also a bit lighter than the bulb but stronger than the xc. If you can spend a bit more money but cant afford a chris king, go for a hadley hub. Its the main rival to the chris king and a hell of alot cheeper. I think they are around the £199 mark. They also have alot more engagement points than the hopes. Help that helps
