If you are looking for a new frame id stick with a mod. Your used to riding mod, if you move to a stock it will take a bit of getting used to. The fact that you have all the part for a mod helps to as it will work out cheaper for you. Or better still just change the stem to start see if that helps.

Id copy something simple to start. As its your first 1 you dont want to be doing something to complex with difficult bends and weld gusseting. thats my opinion anyway

160mm disc will be fine on a mod mate. more than enough stopping power providing ur hydros are wroking properly
