    Help!

Aright lads, changed my chain on the weekend from a sram to a kmc z510, and it's decided it's going to slip? I haven't put the tensioner on wrong have i, or is the chain not compatible, it's on trial tech sprockets! Cheers Luke
  3. haha. Now that's different, you were actually changing it, I was happy with the price of 0.00 on tarty But shh, some of the lads won't be happy your doing that haha.
  4. to be fair as said above, it doesn't matter what shop it is. yer.. you could say ahh i'd do it to jjb sports because they have plenty of money etc, but it makes no differnce to if you were doing it to a local sports shop which sells on a much greater scale. At the end of the day it was up for 0.00 I hit purchase, there's nothing bad about that Hopefully I have shown that prices need to be checked better, I'll let it go without making a great scene. I was intrigued admitidly to where I would stand though. So cheers guys for your in put. I have done nothing sneaky as an example of me posting on here. I would have kept it on the hush if I was You spoke to my dad ad, I have been at work all day.
  5. Heyy, right, been looking on this site, and the product I want is at 0.00 but in stock? Added it to my basket and all it's saying i'll have to pay for is postage. If I tap in my card details now, where would I stand? Would they have to send it me or what can they do... Luke
  6. It's a great car don't get me wrong, they don't come cheap though Ah right, has your dad mentioned any problems known with the diff, cause we had terrible trouble, was going in once every 6 weeks to Ford at the time! Fair point and it's been accepted! sorry! (:
  7. Why would I do that though when I could trade mine in for an RX 8?
  8. Dad has owned 2 of them although the diff kept pinging on them! That's going back some years! Back then yerr nice cars, don't know why you'd want one now? Personally if I had the choice to buy a new car again, i'd get what I could for my money. I wouldn't bother looking at buying a 5 year old Porsche, chucking this and that to make it quicker and blah. If it was that easy and the thing to do, why isn't everyone driving round in them? I could trade mine in and buy an older car which in some people's view would be classy, but then i'd be going for an older car, more miles, more owners and i'd look like a cock cause i'm trying to be something i'm not.
  9. Focus St imo out of that lot. I drive one and it's soo nice
  10. awwh! I'm down for this guys. Gonna book my self in at some b+b or something tomorrow
  11. Lovely frame, although that looks such a heavy build!
  12. Awesome, Cheers dude. I'll have a look tomorrow morning If it has those 2 5 mm hex openings what will that mean? Luke
  13. Good question, to be honest, I don't actually know, it's this - http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....=134455&hl= Does that make it any easier to work out? oh dear.
  14. Hello all, Right - I'm looking to sell my rear Chris king wheel, built on to a Sun lite welded black rim. Could anyone tell me how much I should be asking? Wheel is true with no grind, the hub is a beaut too Cheers Luke

    Car Damage

3 of them a day Bit of money that. You have to remember I live in mid wales, the cost of life is alot cheaper than the city. I'm hoping to move to Chester soon, my prices will double due to the cost of life there. But yerr, that was really funny lol. Oh and specialist stuff costs more i.e buffing.

Cheers for trying to debate my knowledge, but I do know how many coats of paint a car has, and I know differnt company's use differnt amount of layers. Okay, he may be some big dude from detailing world, but he's doing that test to show how can use it, I could probably use it equally effective, although I choose not to due to expense and ease of the job, Farecla has been proven to restore damage more effective. Look, I have been trained by Auto Glym and Auto Smart, both of those companies are far more respected in the valeting industry than detailing worlds. Personally i'm happy with what I know and what I use, so if you would like to use t cut go nuts but it eats the paintwork and in time that panel will fade. Bet Dave at detail world didn't tell you that

For starters, I would never take advise off an astra owners club. I work in the trade preparing 3 cars a day, and I have been on training days for more knowledge. I personally wouldn't touch the stuff, and if you look at those pictures of his results, in my opinion the paint work doesn't look great - I can see swirls, with my process they wouldn't remain.

Hey, Sorry I have only just seen this. As a professional car valeter I have seen this a few times. As said above it looks like only the surface has been scuffed, hopefully only the laquer. Most cars have roughly 30 layers of paint so hopefully you can gain them layers back! First rule - t cut is a no no, I don't care what anyone says, it's dreadful stuff! What you need is Farecla G60 compound, personally i'd use a medium grade. A mopp would be ideal (buffing machine) although you probably don't have one Apply the compound in a circular motion, then rub off in the same motion, you may need to apple a few coats. After you have applied the compound you need to protect and seal, therefore I would use Auto Glym Radiant wax to finish it off
  21. That looks awesome dude, really like those wheels!
  22. I was getting quite nervous when I saw you replying hehe. The new tyre is mint, cheers for giving it me!
