Mototrials, anyone else ride it?
Onzaallen replied to steven milman's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
I do, I ride a beta rev-3 05 125cc but i am getting the 07 when it comes out hopefully if i leave school and get a job. I have been riding it for 3 years now all over scotland. What about you, where do you ride? What bike? Also how long have you been riding? Thanks Allen. -
Cheers for that help. I would go for the try-all rims but they don't do them in green i don't think, I know i am being a bit sad but i just love the look of them green rims. I will tell my dad that the zona sounds a lot nicer and from what i have heard rides a lot nice as he really wants me to get the zoo because it looks a lot stronger and i will agree with him there. I have got loads of old chains hanging about because i have snapped three this year already. I think what ever frame i get it will feel much much nicer to my t-bird! I just can't seem to get any better on it as it is so heavy. Just a bit more information i am 5 foot 8 inchs so i think that the zoo might feel a bit long anyway, I would get it in the short if i did get it so what odes people about my height think of the short length wise? Cheers Allen.

Thanks they look good quality. Does anyone else use these rims and if so what do you think of them? Allen. Just to tie up a few loose ends; What Rims? And will any 19" rear rim fit my onza hub and spokes? More comments on what rim to get please i still can't decide and i can't find anyone with one. I know i should be able to decide for myself but i just don't know the quality of the two frame, to me the zoo looks the stronger frame but there i just something about the zona that i really like. Thanks in advance Allen.

Hi, I have my levers at a 45 degrease down from horizontal on the bars, I find this a comfortable position when i am no the back wheel. Just stand up with you're bike in between you're legs and put you're arms pointing 45 degrease from you're shoulder. It is where all my mates had it and told me to put mine there and i really like it now even though it felt weird at first. Thanks Allen.

Mine was about the two foot mark i am scared of hights, i know that is not high but i get really scared on even that high on my bike :$ . It was on my onza t-bird mod. Thanks and good topic Allen.

Cool thanks, Any other suggestions on the other parts, Rims especially; i was thinking of the echo 06 rims but i have just realized they are not good for grinding so are the 05 ones still available and are they any good? The reason i want echo rims are i can get them i green and you can't get the try-all ones in green Thanks Allen.

T-pro like most people have said or the zona zip with the t-pro build from select bikes it is only £80 more. Hope i have helped and good luck with you're choice. Allen.

Hi, I am not 100% sure as to which bottom bracket to get. For the zoo or the zona would a onza square tapper fit? Just if it did u could use my onza cranks.
-
Ever thought about selling the t-bird locally and just buying a new bike? Seing as though you changing nearly eveything on it anyway.
-
I read that tarty won't grind the 06 due to the anodizing, could i just ask for the 05 instead. This my sound stupid but what does CNC stand for? Thanks Allen
-
Cheers mate, I was never 100% sure about the drivetrain but i has read before that the onza has a rear freewheel but it didn't mean a lot to me. If i was to get the Echo bottom bracket on the zip or the zoo would i have to get a new set of cranks? If so which ones should i get. cheers Allen.
-
Thanks. I think that is everything sorted now all i have to do now is get the money and decide which frame to get and then buy it and build it up. Thanks to everyone but especials to Man On A Mission for all his help. Cheers Allen .

-
I will be using my onza cranks no matter what frame i get but i can't get them off of the bottom bracket. I have tried using hot water,wd-40,hitting it with a very large hammer and few other things and i can't get it off so any suggestions on that would be much appreciated Allen......

Ok sorry, i see what you mean now, i never thought of that as a bash ring i just thought it was there for design :$ Thanks Allen.
-
I have a bash guard on my onza, I may have got mixed up but i think that all onza t-bird have bash guards as standard.

Should I Use Double Disc On My Stock?
Onzaallen replied to joe parker's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Hi, I have ask about back discs on my mod and most people said no, the reason being that it has a slight bit of modulation on a disc so it slips a bit where as a magura locks up right away. A lot of people like this on the front though. Put me straight if i am wrong but that i what i have been told. Hope i have helped Allen. -
Hi, does this mean that i would have to get a pair of cranks with a bash ring on them if i was to get the python?
-
Hi again, Will my bash fit the zoo and the zona or will in need to get a zoo or zona bash or a bash ring? Thanks again Allen.
-
Ok thanks that will save a bit of money then.
